I find it strange that someone sends messages asking to meet, you reply, things are going well, you arrange to meet (next week) and that's it no more messages, he comes on line, let's see what happens next week

He’s broom you off

Your not a “top priority” in his made as your next week

Would say he’s already shown the hump and ghost

Just missed the hump

Many talk the talk but don't walk the walk unfortunately.

Or changed their minds?

Pretty sure that's allowed too.

Maybe he was on his way to the north shore to pick a pineapple with his dad and he was in a car accident and has been left with anterograde amnesia and can’t recall anything from his short term memory.

Whenever this kind of thing happens, I like to think that the person has been chased away by 1000 mouse sized mountain lions. They can’t reply because they are too busy and I shouldn’t hold out hope that they’ll survive so should move on

This seems to be the case. I don't understand why people do this

Or perhaps because you have arranged a date he doesn’t want to bombard you with messages between now and then?

Tetbury

Currently waiting outside a village for a pre arranged meet. All of a sudden, no sign of him online, just wasted an afternoon.

Some suck you into believing they are going to turn up, I should have been wise to this one.

Well, time to take heels off, go home and have a cuppa

Wherever I lay my hat

One of my pet peeves this. In some cases I think that the guy believes that he has a meet in the bag if he wants it. He is then either: 1. Looking to see if something better comes along and you become his contingency plan or 2. He is preoccupied with setting up future meets because the one with you is now banked and no more effort is required. In both cases with me they usually pop up at the 11.5 th hour and expect to meet. They can fuck right off. If a guy can't communicate and show me respect then he isn't worthy of my time.

And why not?

If it fell through, block and move on.

It's barely worth thinking about.

The most surprising thing about this is that he sent you a message and you replied.

Like you, I would expect a message or 2 before we meet

.

I think that people can have mismatched expectations on communication before and after. Maybe he just wants to let things build? Maybe he's unable to type more letters than b, a and f so is stuck.

Why not send him the message and go from there?

Sad really but it's fab ,the amount of Timewasters here is unreal , some people never have any intention of meeting , they just want the attention that messaging can bring .

Just send him a friendly message, he might not be messaging you because he thinks yous are meeting next week so he might be waiting till closer to the time.

Probably this. As the saying goes, ‘when she says yes, stop asking’

"Many talk the talk but don't walk the walk unfortunately. "

Totally agree.

It's probably about 75% don't meet.

Lots are upfront and only use the site to browse the forums and chat. Bit like a Facebook page where you can flash your bits.

I have no problem with the chatters, ranters, conspiracy theorists and nutters but do have a problem with those that say they want to meet but don't, they also tend to be multiple offenders too.

That's why socials, clubs, parties and holidays are so much better.

Good luck.
