Somewhere In The Ether…

According to Bishop Sean Manchester, a vampire resides at Kirklees Estate there (also reputed to be the location of Robin Hood’s grave). You could go vampire hunting….

Titz Towers, North Notts

Go to the Viaduct show bar - it's in the gay quarter and is absolutely fantastic. They have showgirls lip synching and dancing

They used to have a canal boat on a roundabout that was a pub - not sure if it’s still there?

"They used to have a canal boat on a roundabout that was a pub - not sure if it’s still there? "

Yes it is. It's called the Dry Dock.

The Sistine Chapel Exhibition is in Leeds until 20 November and is spectacular

Some interesting replies on here. Yes Leeds is not the most exuberant city in the world but certainly a lot of nice stuff to do some mentioned already, the royal armouries, the city gallery, Roundway Park, Victoria Quarter and Arcade with some nice shops, Harvey Nicks and the Ivy, Harewood House not that far and Harrogate amd Ilkley and even York are all close by and within half an hour. The countryside also all around Leeds is amazing. Yes Manchester might have more to offer in the centre but everytime I go recently I find it busier and dirtier. I ccertainly dont enjoy walking around the city but great if I know what I want and where I am going.

I’ll second that

There’s also a cracking little cafe just around the corner, overlooking the canal, it’s built from converted shipping containers. Great food and lovely ales
