"I guess I also wanted to add that I’ve realised how much I go into myself when I’m struggling so I’m going to fight that and try to stay open towards support from my husband. I also have a tutor who said to me ‘crying is really healing for you isn’t it?’ When I cried during our personal development time. It’s something I’ve tended to feel embarrassed about, but I’ve recognised what she said and I’m allowing myself to cry when I want to. It will be interesting how I approach this tomorrow when I’m at home where these lessons were learned all those years ago! " As always Lou, I appreciate your candidness and sharing and although I don't reply in these threads every week they are greatly appreciated. I will keep everything crossed that it is better news than you are anticipating about your mum and I agree about trying to stay open to support from hubby. My DMs are open if someone needs a friendly ear. With the end of the rugby season in site i'm taking more time back. I've been on the go since january but really enjoyed doing absolutely nothing yesterday other than going out for a breakfast. This week and next I do my mental health first aid training which I'm looking forward to.

It's absolutely no wonder you feel the need to go into yourself, I can understand this has opened old wounds for you the psychosomatic effect of these sorts of circumstances is no joke.

Mine is online. | |||

"Sounds like tough times at the moment OP, I hope things go as well as possible for you and your Mum etc. Me? I’m mostly ok, similar family illness concerns but otherwise generally fine, been a bit poorly for a few days which gets you down after a while but maybe a 6 or 7 out of 10 for me. All the best for the week ahead OP " Thank you Sorry you’ve got similar concerns. It’s such a huge part of life in general that we don’t really talk about much, I feel something really needs to shift within society. Hope you’re feeling better soon x

"As for myself, I was really glad to see this thread as soon as I opened fab. Have woken up this morning feeling all over the place, even though I've had the pleasure of staying with Mr Fox for 2 nights. I feel stuck in a rut with things and this has been impacting on my mental state a lot. Paranoia has been slowly taking hold and it's a scary feeling. I do have counselling this afternoon though, thankfully. Hope everyone has a wonderful start to the week " Thank you for your kind words Sorry to hear you’re feeling stuck and are struggling with how you’re feeling. Hoping this afternoon’s counselling session can maybe move things on a little for you xx

"Morning. So sorry about the worries with your mum, op. Keep on crying! Very cathartic. I've got a MH assessment this morning after being referred back in July when I had a mini autistic burnout. I'm coping fairly well at the moment, so long as I don't over do it, and I don't want them to dismiss me as not needing care as a result. I'm OK if I don't work too much, but then Universal Credit get annoyed because I'm not achieving the required number of hours each week. If I push myself to fulfill UC's requirements I burnout and it impacts on my children. I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. I've been through this process so many times and I'm feeling resentful about having to do it yet again. If only they had a specialist neurodiversity MH support team." Thank you That all sounds quite stressful and as though it feels unfair I hope it goes as smoothly as possible for you with the outcome you want x

"Best wishes to you and your family OP and look after yourself New short term therapy is about looking at strengths which I can think of few but not sure how I get back to feeling them. Biggest one at the moment is still alive even with all the time spent wishing otherwise " Thank you I think you shouldn’t worry about feeling them straight away, the first step is recognising them I guess and seeing how that sits with you. Don’t forget to add kindness to others to your list of strengths xx

"Good Morning Finally got meds sorted for ptsd still on sleeping tablets unfortunately had another appointment with sych at hospital early this morning he explained this will probably never get better things will improve with time Hope everyone feels ok love to all " Glad you’ve got some positives in there. I think it’s worth just taking some time to consider what they said to you and reflecting on how that feels, I imagine it may have had something if an impact. Hoping the new medication offers you some relief x

"So my mum’s appointment has been moved to next Monday! The extra waiting feels difficult, I really feel for my mum, but it also means that I’ll be the one accompanying her as my sister has to work. I’m the baby of the family and have really mixed feelings about being a grown up in this way (I’m fine btw, just wanted to share that) x" Bless your heart, yes I can imagine this dynamic being a challenging one!! And the waiting must be hard glad you're okay - Xeno xx
