After having the absolute piss ripped out of me, for years by my kids about my penchant for wearing baseball caps, I've just invested in a leather flat cap.

Guess it fits with my age better (I'm 43) haha. So come on then Fabbers, any hat lovers on here?

Do women like a man in a hat or is it considered a fashion faux pa?

They suit some people but then again there are some that don't suit any kind of headwear but the importance is that it makes you feel more comfortable so don't worry about what anyone else thinks

Lots of people have mentioned on here before they don't like baseball caps. But idgaf, if it's raining or I'm just popping down the shop and my hairs a mess, I'm wearing a cap

Yes, I always feel more comfortable in a hat. But have tended to lean towards baseball caps.

My Grandad used to wear a trilby but I don't have the self confidence to even attempt wearing one of those.

I wear flat caps and what I think are called military caps. I also have one baseball cap that protects from UV rays.

I don't think they suit everyone, but my bald head gets cold!

I wear a baseball cap a lot.

If dressed up in winter...a flat cap or a baker boy. But unfortunately when Peaky Blinders came along, lots of guys started wearing them.

If out walking the dogs in winter, a woolly hat, but worn properly. High at the back, low at the front..(think Dexys Midnight Runners - Geno)

None of that 'down over your ears' nonsense.

I deliberately have put off buying a flat cap, cos I didnt want people thinking I'm some sort of Tommy Shelby wannabe

....or back in the early (Two Tone) 80's, a trilby or pork pie hat was essential

Had to Google that. Yeah, I like those sort of hats. Bit more refined than the humble flat cap.

The show made them trendy again (moreso Baker Boys than Flat Caps). But as you say, wear one and people instantly calling you a Peaky Blinder.

So true! I used to like how rare it was (unless 70+, I guess). Now, they are far more common!

Someone even said to me once, "Do you wear that because of Peaky Blinders?" When I said no, they said, "David Beckham?"

Yes, especially round here, I used to wear them too before peaky blinders but had to give up wearing them as all the morons who think they're hard started wearing them.

I have a trilby for London, and a Panama for umpiring. Other than that, no, apart from a VERY occasional topper, hired rather than bought, where necessary.

Hats don't suit me.

Hats and I don't really get on, but I agree they can look great on some guys. Some. Like anything, I guess.

I do have one (I like to think quite stylish, but who knows) baseball cap which occasionally sees the light of day, especially if I've got longer hair than normal, but it's rare...

Mine is black. I did consider the brown one. It did look rather fetching but decided black goes with everything.

Mr wears baseball caps and has a nice collection he actually suits them.

In winter he opts for beanies.

He has tried flat caps and other styles but they are not suited to him.

Newry Down

Hats, which usef to be very popular are going to make a big comeback, but excluding bowlers which are associated with one particular grouping in Northern Ireland.

Homburgs, Trilbys, Panamas...lots of options.

I think that's the main thing. If it feels good and you feel good wearing it then it's all good. I like vintage aviator hats but not many can pull that look off

I have a couple if New Era baseball caps. Raiders and Celtics. Much to the disapproval of my crotch goblins. Apparently I'm stuck in the 90s
