I bloody love going to swingers clubs, im not a confident woman by any means but wierdly I feel more like myself and comfortable once i'm in and dressed down than I ever do in real life.

However

Drinking wine from a plastic glass is just not a sexy look

What other things in clubs wind you up or just don't sit right with you? Possibly something you would overlook but you know vanilla friends would recoil in horror at.

I've never been to a club, because of being a single man, but this would also put me off. Why plastic cups? Are swingers more likely to start glassing people than ordinary punters?

Spunk floating in the hot tubs.

I *know* nobody is meant to play in there.

But they do …

Warm beer. For the love of God, please don't wait until 30 mins before you open to put the beers in the fridge!

Oh, and the wanking dead....

Also offputting!

Hmmm. Pretty sure clubs aren't going to be for me.

At least they have plastic gin glasses too

I wouldn’t say anything annoys us as such but there are things we’ve observed about clubs & club goers - that’s all I’m prepared to say as wouldn’t want to be offensive

One reason we don't get in the hot tubs. People definitely play in them.

There are a huge array of clubs. Some are small and intimate, some very exclusive and expensive, some warm and welcoming and some huge and overwhelming. No two clubs are the same. Plastic glasses are practical as you don't want someone smashing one in a communal play area or dark room.

I love clubs and as a single woman they are safer than visiting strangers houses or 1-2-1 hotel meets. I've been to some luxurious places and some seedy places and enjoyed myself all the same. Its not all about what the club has to offer, its also about what you are putting in to the evening. If you're going to nit pick over decor or music rather than go with the flow and have a fun time then that's your prerogative.

The 'wandering wankers'. Not one of them with the spark of a brain cell to suggest any kind of clue as to what's acceptable behaviour and what isn't. Gives single guys bad rep's.

I can't disagree with any of this about swingers' clubs: as I say, I'm completely ignorant.

But if I'm going out for cocktails or dinner, the glasses, the decor, the clothing of other customers, etc all matter to me. I'd not go in somewhere that wasn't aesthetically appealing. Very much personal opinion, of course, but I don't think it's uncommon.

Of course there are clubs that decline membership because of the way people look.

We always say it's the people you're with that make a good time, not the place. You could be sat in a palace but if everyone you were with were boring and didn't know how to enjoy themselves it wouldn't be very enjoyable.

I enjoyed a buffet at the Vanilla Alternative last week. It was an amazing spread. It is totally possible for adults that enjoy a Liberal lifestyle to also have the ability to wash their hands before handling food.

We are swingers not savages;-p

Yes, I get this. However I went to the Bi Fun Club and the music was perfect. There is a pub upstairs if you want to chat and be social. Downstairs the music and darkness set the sleezy, sexy mood

The films in the cinema. I'd love to swap one from porn to Wallace and Grommit just to see if the people in there can carry on playing whilst hearing, 'Cracking bit of cheese, Grommit,'

Sounds great- don’t get me wrong, I’m not opposed to there being music for dancing and sleaziness, it’s just nice to also have somewhere for chat (and sleaziness, obvs)

That's a great shout! Been in around a dozen clubs, but have never visited one twice where I felt I needed to wipe my feet on the way out - and I've seen a few, one or two of which have been seen as being very popular on here.
