For those who use craft stamps. How do you deal with changing colour? Do you wash the stampy (technical term) bit? Or just merrily stamp away with scant regard for colour contamination?

"My kids do this with me every year. We have interesting wrapping paper. But to answer the question I use a baby wipe between colours. " I don't know why this didn't occur to me before using the red stamp immediately after the brown  | |||

Just spoken with a friend who makes cards for living and has in excess of 200 different stamps and she uses Baby wipes between each colour change and had done for years."Thanks. I'll definitely give them a wipe. I'm not lacking in common sense but this genuinely didn't occur to me | |||

They sound lovely. I have some Amazon paper waiting to be recycled. I might do some stamping myself. "It's very satisfying. I have loads of ribbon that I'll use to tie the gifts too, I'm hoping it will look quite effective what with my Christmas elephants and all  | |||

"Warm soapy water with a dash of white vinegar. Clean with cotton wool pads and dab dry on an old piece of cloth tip: stamps I didn’t use for a while I used to give them a light rub with oil to stop them drying out and the stamp area shrinking " Thank you. My stamps are wooden rather than rubber I'm thinking oil might sink into the wood. | |||

"This sounds a lovely idea. I would need a quick wipe in between colours too. I have tried to have a go at lino printing recently, it wasnt as easy or satisfying as I had hoped. " These things are quite hit and miss I find. Either I'm surprised at how well they turn out of I'm left with something that looks like I made it wearing oven gloves and a blindfold | |||
