I miss the good old days when you could bung a scally with a ladder £20 to get over the fence…

Work it,I do, plenty of jobs out there.

Some work just enough to get in for free, they are generally working gor the charities.

I work the full week for the money myself, plus I get to go through the tents n crap everyone leaves behind once it's finished n cleared of punters.

Get free travel, free food, private campsite with showers n better toilets n a shit load of money n still have a good laugh.

It’s Glastonbury Carnival in two weeks time. If there’s anything you want to watch in Glastonbury if you’re an out-of-towner, it’s that.

Somerset’s greatest secret!

I got tickets, bit of faff and hammering refresh on browser but got there after about 25 minutes. Absolutely buzzing

Does anyone know about the tipi or motorhome site tickets go on sale or have I missed these?

Not a problem for glastonbury any more and they also won't end up on the secondary ticket sales sites for twice the price. Every ticket has the ticket holders picture on it and if it doesn't match there's a good chance you might not get in if you try to use someone else's ticket.

"Who's playing"

No one knows yet, apart from the organisers, They will release a few names over the next 6 months, then a full lineup around April/May sort of time. There's much more going on than music.

Depends on what you want to do there really, the paid work will generally involve 12 hour plus shifts, sometimes within the festival but could be stood on a vehicle gate or car park all day as well. You'll also work every day.

Then you have volunteer work which will be 3, 8 hour shifts somewhere, At a five day event like Glastonbury that could be any shifts between Tuesday evening and the following Monday am.

You either maximise what you can earn, or time you have free to enjoy the festival really.

more like 135000 and only paid a £50 deposit. Then you're parking/transport etc etc having fun can be expensive, it's the best £350 I'll spend for a while...

Contact Oxfam, they do loads of stewarding at loads of festivals, the festivals pay Oxfam your wages really, You can pay a deposit at the beginning of the year which will cover the risk of you running off and enjoying the festival and not doing your shifts

Greenpeace do some, Water Aid are a possibility. Look at facebook groups for the festivals you fancy and ask questions about volunteering in those groups. efestivals maybe worth a look too.
