I am tempted to go there for my 50th birthday in just over a couple of years' time.

However, it is a bit too remote for my liking.

Prefer to make the most of the day by going into London instead, probably at Marcus Wareing's restaurant at the Berkeley.

It's awesome, worth the wait on the waiting list and the money for the tasting menu.

I have been fortunate enough to eat at some very fine restaurants around the world, and they have all been worth the money.

We tend to eat in Copthorne Hotels wen we eat out as the restaurants are usually very quiet .. ur usually the only people their during lunch and they have very attentive staff and are always very reasonably priced .. wud neva pay ludicrous amounts of money for food to be honest regardless of how nice it as

I was fascinated by it. I love food, but feel uncomfortable being fawned over in restaurants. The Fat Duck looked very relaxed but with an amazing 'production' of food. Would love to go Jx

The Tasting Menu is currently £195 per head. I am on the waiting list but God knows when I'll get to go.

Fine dining doesn't cut it for me

Traditional pub food prepared on the premises by a cook (as opposed to a chef) and using fresh, local ingredients is far more my cuppa tea.

Sadly these places are few and far between - gastropubs saw the upper end off and pubs serving warmed up from frozen microwaved meals saw the lower end off

5-6 months at last estimate! At least I'll have time to save a few extra pennies!

Book a year in advance, then save a bit a month towards the meal.

As they've just been on TV, it's probably swamped right now - try again later or tomorrow and you'll get straight on there....
