Just bought me an air fryer. I know this is not your usual blog, but you need to know this. Things are amazing. I made a subway sandwich at home for a fraction of the price. I cook chips to sublime crispy Ness and fluffy in the center. Pastries are cooked to perfection with a crispy light pastry with piping hot centers Yummy. And it's all done in the quickest time cooking possible. Definitely worth the money.

Ive been considering one - bought a soupmaker ffs just amazing!! Hiw easy are the air cryers to clean - just dump in dishwasher or wash by hand ( i know this post may turn a lot if women on - blokes talking about washing up!!)

absolutely brilliant and works really well it’s the ninja other brands available

What I will say is if your more than 1-2 people you need to buy the larger one but definitely worth the purchase.

My aunt has only just had hers but so far has tried baking a cake, jacket potatoes, sausages, mince, oven chips - she’s trying to find a recipe book !

I used to think the same, that they were an alternative way to fry food !

We have two. Tefal actifry for chips and nuggets etc for the kids and a ninja multicooker for absolutely everything else. The main oven rarely gets turned on now.

I bought a big-ass Ninja Foodi in the middle of lockdown. Haven't regretted it one bit. I have nothing bad to say about them. Cooks beautifully and also does things like dehydrates (good for making kale crisps), slow cooking, pressure cooking etc etc as well as air frying (chips come out perfect).

You sure? I've heard of induction deep fat fryers, but not air fryers. They're mini fan ovens for sure, but many have a heating element above the basket. Happy to be corrected...

Same principle as your big fan oven, cooking by induction but on a smaller scale. They don’t fry they cook?

Ah, that's convection, not induction. Induction cooking involves electromagnetic induction from an electromagnetic source to a lump of something (metallic) that then heats up, like the hobs. I don't believe they use induction cooking tech in air fryers. I think air fryers work by using convection like you say, and heat the food by circulating hot air around an air frying basket. Anyway, I'll stop being dull now ...

I had a Slow Cooker delivered yesterday so today I will be mostly simmering stewing steak in loads of veg, stock, red wine and serving it to a very special lady after the bongy later this afternoon.

I plan to serve it with a nice Chilean merlot.

I love mine, hardly ever use my oven, was a god send when I was in temp accommodation and had no cooker, between that and the slow cooker we ate as normal, nothing was impossible to do.
