Somewhere In The Ether…

They have to be done, but good folks of FAB, what chore do you hate doing the most?

For me it’s changing bed sheets and pillow cases; I don’t know exactly why but it pisses me reet off it does!

Incidentally, are there any chores that any of you actively enjoy?

I hate cooking and all things related, like meal planning, food shopping and washing up. I used to love cooking, but years of children being fussy and rejecting what I present to them has eroded all the pleasure.

I really enjoy folding laundry. I find it calming and grounding.

I actually quite enjoy cleaning my sink; getting the stainless steel all sparkly again bestows a great feeling of accomplishment and pride, I find.

This is going to sound weird judging by the comments so far,but I like mundane stuff. When I became single I had to motivate myself to do it so gave myself a reward after completing a task. Now I just find the clean and tidy a pleasure and I love getting into clean bedding!

Happy to help others if you want and no I don't have a maid uniform

Agreed on bed sheets. Why does the duvet always manage to pivot awkwardly when you think you've cracked it. Fuck you duvet.

I know this technique What you do is to turn the duvet cover inside out firstly; then place your hands inside it, grabbing the two top corners. Next with corners in hands, grab the two top corners of the duvet before pulling/shaking the duvet cover down over the duvet.

Um….yes….It’s indeed easier shown than described…

Minus cleaning skirting boards. And washing cutlery. Everything else, good playlist and I'm happy to spend a few hours doing it.

What about under the bed and behind the sofas?

Are you all being thorough?

I don't particularly hate any of them. I like cleaning. I do hate spending ages making everything clean and tidy for the kids to come in and make a mess in 10second's though or if I'm tired, like beyond exhausted tired, then all housework can fuck off until I've slept.

I like washing up...make up and strip the beds while naked means I don't get hot and bothered...I fold my duvet into a lengthways W and push it up inside the cover ..find the top corners ..giving it a shake and voila done....and I don't iron..just dry all my clothes on hangers so they don't get creased ..hoover and dust when I have to

What are chores? Lol!

Incidentally, I live alone and I don't let people apart from professionals into my flat so.....

I can be as OCD clean or as slovenly as I chose and my health allows.

My neurodivergent brain needs to unmask when I'm home not obsessive over chores.
