Wind flowing through the trees. Birdsong. Nature alive around me.

The gale force winds and pouring rain outside my window right now are rather soothing.

I used to work a lot of night shifts in a rural area and sometimes I would just lay down somewhere in the woods, close my eyes and listen....surprisingly noisy.

If you are listening to something, close your eyes. removing visual references/stimulation accentuates the sound and you appreciate it more. Top tip, don't do this whilst driving....or flying an aeroplane....or whilst moving at all really..

Depends on my sensitivity to noise, but I like the birds twittering in the morning and evening times.

They're out there now, having a squabble about something.

There's one chirrup I don't recognise. I'll have to spy on them.

I have to add though; the sound of the traffic is irritating me this evening.
