Ta , it was on a freezing cold day like today , us chaps were ok , we had suits on . The girls with their off the shoulder dresses were not so warm .

Also the heating was out of action in the church so we had an enormous propane gas heater which made so much noise that two pews back they could see our mouthes move but that was it .

We had our honeymoon in the Lake District in a mobile home on a friends farm .

The next morning we found that none of the doors would shut properly as the mobile home seemed to have twisted in the night ...!! Don't know how that happened

As a winter wedding the best bit was the Salvation Army band playing carols in Ambleside and it was snowing , just like Christmas is supposed to be .

Well ..... We had always envisaged getting our wedding rings blessed in the nude on some exotic beach , reality was more down to earth .

We had an very long day at work yesterday and finally got home two hours late, Mrs J ran a bath whilst I walked the dogs , we had a bite to eat as we had not eaten since 05:00 and it was now 18:00 , we discussed about going out for a meal and where , then woke up in awkward positions on the sofa at midnight , staggered up to bed holding our backs going ooh , eee and ouch , had a shag and went back to sleep .

Sigh , the joys of getting older .
