This comes up on social media often and it is always very *eye opening* the variety in responses.

So simple question - how often do you shower/ bathe/ clean your body?

(For the sake of clarity, this means having soap and water, at the very least, touch the majority of your body.)

Additional optional questions:

- Do you use a loofah/ washcloth/ sponge?

- Do you spend dedicated time washing your legs when you shower?

Ever since the accident, I’ve been dry clean only. I unzip my skin and send it to Zippikleen on the high street once every couple of months

I shower every morning it helps me wake up and get in the zone. I don’t work in a factory or on a farm so it’s probably a bit unnecessary to wash my entire body daily, but I like it. Natural sponges, face and body scrubs, lots of steam, tingling red skin! . Thinking of getting a sauna shower installed

I shower everyday just because I feel gross if I do not. I use a loofah usually with sanex. I don't spend overly long showering unless I am shaving, I wash my hair every other day and I also use exfoliation gloves and oil for after.

Alternative days for shower and possible wash on the in between days.

"What is a possible wash?" I hear you cry.

You wash down as far as possible, you wash up as far as possible, then you wash possible...

If I was doing heavy exercise or work I'd probably showed daily.

I wash my hair around every 5-7 days unless I'm swimming when I'll wash it more frequently.

Everyday. Always after I’m home from work. But days off at any random point in the day.

But aye. 7 days a week, without fail.

Sometimes I use a puffy thing with liquid soap. But usually it’s just a bar of dove. (I do make a body scrub with old coffee grinds and coconut oil. That finishes my shower 3 days a week

)

I shower in the morning (showers on beach) and before bed (I use a bottle of water with holes poked in the lid, I use shower gel)

Also I wash after work if I have some. I brush my teeth everyone I shower too. I may live in a tent but I'm cleaner than the majority of people lol.

Usually every day as I'm at the gym or doing some kind of activity. May skip the odd day if it's a weekend and not going out anywhere. I used to use soap and exfoliating gloves but only use soap now as I think the gloves made my skin too dry and itchy.

I do what can be a very dusty job for a living. Therefor a shower when i get home after work is something i have always done. It's much easier to have shower each night than to absolutely have to change sheets and pillowcases every couple of days.

I have a bath every day in the morning, sometimes twice a day. I wash my hair every time i have a bath. I wash ALL of my body. I use Body Shop products to wash or babybath. I use a flannel, sponge or scrunchy nylony thing.

I find it physically very difficult to get in and out of a bath now and a while back i fell and landed on the side of the bath ... the bruises were amazing

We are waiting for the (non working) shower room to be altered to be easier for me to use it. There's a very long waiting time to get someone to alter the shower room.

"I shower every day in the morning. Twice/ multiple times a day if I’ve been to the gym.

I use a loofah, and definitely spend a few minutes washibg my legs, in addition to everything else."

Logical people will shower or bath in the evening, after a busy day at work or whatever else they do. Doesn’t make sense going to bed dirty……..sheets and duvet get smelly quicker.

Also, no faffing about in the morning before going out to work - wash face, teeth, get dressed and go; 15 mins top.

Yeah…… if you just want to get wet and don’t want to use soap! Lol. I like to spend at least 10 mins under the water, having a good wash. Always sleep better after a long hot shower. Very relaxing.

I shower at least once a day, sometimes twice depending on what I was doing during the day (running, bicycling or working out my pelvic floor

)

But I always wash my intimate area after going to the loo.

I assumed everyone showered at least once a day to wash their body. Hair is a bit different for those with an abundance of it. I always have a bath after my last night shift.

Does anyone use baby oil in the shower to clean themselves wash off the old stuff with the shower and then cover themselves in baby oil and pat dry, new one on me, but va woman told me about it the other day

I do use a sponge, otherwise I get through bottles of shower gel really quickly.

Yes I wash my arms and legs and ears as well!

I can't function in a morning without having a shower. I feel dirty. I'll shower in the evening if I've got especially sweaty, been to the gym etc.. I'll even shower before going to Parkrun, push the course, then come home or go to the gym to shower again. I just can't go out in the morning without showering!

I have a full shower every other day where I specifically soap up all my body including limbs, feet and ears as well as of course key areas like armpits, bits and bum. I also do this after the gym or before going out out. In between I just wash the essential areas because my legs especially get really dry if I wash them every day. I'll also have wash after sex. I wash my hair 3 times a week. So it really depends what I'm doing. Some days it might be a quick wash, sometimes 3 showers

Same here, although i bath not shower because i don't have a working shower. I use various aids to get in and out the bath which means it takes ages but i feel yucky if i don't have a bath in the morning at least

Mr Fox usually showers in the morning and after work. I work super early mornings and often evenings too, so I shower after finishing work. Then shower once a day on days off, unless a particularly hot day or other circumstances! X
