"What monarch has ever earned their place? They claim to be gods chosen representative on Earth but most Royal Families ended up where they are through war. So no. No one with a hereditary title has earned their place." I would say Charles II probably has a good claim. He was invited to become king by the Parliament of the day.

" I disagree with your wording and insults towards a woman who has no right of reply. However in previous times he would probably have been required to abdicate because the Queen Consort is divorced. If adultery ruled out succeeding to the throne there would probably only be about two possible heirs in the entire commonwealth

" Why do you have to be so derogatory towards Camilla? Should he have stayed with a woman he didn't love? If anything the fact he divorced, remarried and I'd king is quite progressive for the royal family. Just because you don't fancy her doesn't make her a dog.

"I think he will be a good king but it does remain to be seen, let's face it he has had the longest apprentiship of anyone. I also think he understands his people and countrys needs from his involvement in Princes trust and other things along the same line he has been involved with, he is wanting to bring back apprentiships so many of the dieing skills are not lost forever. I guess time will tell but unfortunately at 73 it may not be long before Prince William becomes king. " He might get twenty or more years if he lives as long as his parents. That gives William a good shot at having a bit of a life before he has to take over

I dint think that's in his power, is it? " In theory he could, but it'd be a constitutional crisis. (Although in 2022, isn't constitutional crisis a synonym for Wednesday?)

Who gives permission to form a new government after an election. Who opens Parliment. Who is the most famous anti republican family? Going abroad as ambassadors, isn't that political?

"No and yes. They got there due to luck and thefts from us citizens, suppressing us as they continued - that's no more earning than the gains of criminal gangs that would be locked up. Not to mention letting the masses die in poverty. He legally earned it, through his fortune of birth and his dutiful service through life. Not a patch on his mother but he's OK. " not sure that there were that many citizens in the days his bloodline took over the reign the common personsage were classed as subjects in the begining of their reign. Also believe they had more to do with granting individaul citizenship both to members of the three countries forming the Union than any forebears. Theft means you actually owned something few subjects actually own anything. I do agree though he earned it through his birth right. Why do people seem to feel society rules and laws were the same as they preceive them to be today beats me. But somewhat sad you feels you should punish the history of your country and apply that punishment by applying it in your eara. Jugdement is a fickle friend cast your stone only when your personage is entirely free from blame. If you stand by your line of thought then better check your forebears against your current social stature rare to find no black sheep anywhere in any time lines. But please feel free to express your opinion there are just that and lucky we are free to do so. By our own birth right by foretune of birth.
