Why?

Do you feel that you need to refresh them?

Is it an excuse for a party?

Is it because other people do?

So what’s best for you

No it's pointless and just a modern day money maker. You both already made “until death do you part” vows. Nothing has changed, saying it again doesn’t make it more or less valid.

You’ve already said them once, unless things have changed there’s no need to say it again.

I'd feel just an excuse for a party really? Which is fine if you want to do that (fund the bar tab)

Other than that it's just a bit daft, no?... All yep, we know you may have attended/paid for presents once. But we'd really love more

It’s absolutely your choice.

If you both feel like you’d like to do it then do it and have a lovely day celebrating again.

Especially if you’re going to have a party!

Party’s are fun

We’ve always thought it would be fun!

Our wedding day was amazing…would be good to do something similar with new friends and additions to the family

Do you feel you need to? (Serious question). If you don't then not really as nothing has changed.

The way I see it, the two of you both know how much you love each other, the ‘renewing the vows’ thing to me serves just 2 purposes really .. it kind of (virtue?) signals to external third parties (friends/family etc) how much you love each other (but if you two know that already then what does it matter what other people think?), and acts as a huge money making enterprise for people who exploit these types of thing….

But as others have said, it’s your money and your choice.

If you do, I hope it’s a wonderful day

Sometimes when I hear the word "renewing our vows" I immediately think "something has happened in the past" (based on my own experience from my first marriage) and I know that's not always the case, especially after 25 years you probably want to freshen it up.

I don't think I would when I get to that stage, I'd rather just have a lovely party with out doing the whole service thing, being able to look around the room and see what we have created over those 25 years, I don't need to reaffirm my relationship.

No, just have a party. You can upload the pics on Facebook and get a load of presents just the same.

It’s not something we’d bother doing. For a silver wedding anniversary, a lovely celebration would be enough

I don't see the point in this personally.

Just hire a hall, have a big anniversary party and both do a speech to everyone together.
