My two favorite boxers tied for first place are jack Dempsey and rocky Marciano

I like Marciano for his gaminess and hitting power also we’re the same height and weight

I like Dempsey for all the struggles he overcame and the fact he was very ahead of everyone around him in terms of skill and he inspired the peekaboo fighting style

Nigel Benn v Gerald McClellan after that fight I had a lot of respect for both fighters. It’s probably the best boxing match I’d ever seen (at that time) and a reason I took it up. Both fighters went for it and unfortunately both suffered afterwards, McClellan especially.

Watched plenty over the years but that’s the fight I remember the most.

Next to those two fighters it’s probably Joe Calzaghe, Terry Marsh and Steve Collins.

"didn duran walk out of the ring with sugar ray lenord"

Watch the Duran documentary. He was a great boxer , not so much a thinker.

After the first fight he celebrated like crazy , didn't train. Put on tons of weight. His management tied him into a return fight he wasn't ready for.

Sugar ray wasn't just a great boxer he was a genius at timing when to fight guys. Take Marvin Hagler. Slightly oth when he eventually agreed to fight him

At his best Hagler would have slaughtered him.

Oscar De La Hoya was a great fighter to watch and he never ducked anyone, the way he dismantled the great Julio Cesar Chavez was sensational.

Nigel Benn, purely because he was exciting to watch and you never knew what would happen in his fights. If Gerald McClellan wasn’t so badly hurt, that fight would probably have gone down as the best of all time.

Currently I think Naoya Inoue is the best P4P fighter in the world, I think he’s the full package as boxers go. I wish Paul Butler all the best when he goes over to Japan to fight him in a few months, he’ll need it.

Probably all already been named but 80s was such a great era for boxers... Quality active fighters in all weight divisions.. Maybe rose tinted specs but haven't seen the quantity of boxers and entertainers in many years.

Mike mccullum, tyson, holyfield, spinks, hagler, Leonard, Duran, hearns, chavez, azumah Nelson, mcguigan and on and on not forgetting the Benn and eubanks warrior story for entertainment at home

Oscar was 11 years younger than an ageing Chavez . His best days were behind him Oscars were to come. Chavez at one time had an 87 fight win streak. He fought twice the fights oscar did .

I think he had a nickname like ' the surgeon ' through the way his accurate body shots took guys apart.

My favourite. Is the Motor City Cobra.

At his best weight, which I believe was light Middle. Out reached everyone, Snappy potent left Jab. An absolute dynamite right hand. a bit vulnerable to being caught unawares.

I don’t think I ever saw him in a boring fight.
