use someone from here to do jobs that need doing at the house? I need a plumber, a joiner and a decorator and noticed sometimes people put their trade in their profile name. Will it be OK to message them if relative local? I am not sure myself but struggling to find anyone locally to do the jobs I need doing. Either busy till next year and beyond or just unreliable. I was just wondering, that's all

Don’t see it as a big issue personally. Other communities would look at their membership and get help or knowledge from each other.

I have been a member of several different types of clubs, bikers, running and ex forces. In each case if you know a Sparky or Plumber, see if they’ll help out.

Obviously it’s up to those people to decide if some sort of barter system or just pay the going or reduced (Mate Rates) payment.

Thank you. I was certainly not suggesting anything other than a professional job and pay but as you say such arrangements are up to the individuals.
