I have had a brill idea to make my lounge warmer, have worked out a way to free up a wall to have another radiator put in the room - pipe work is the other side of the wall so not a problem with that ........ boiler will take another rad ........... check, and then I empty and move the cupboard as I have a plan where its going and forgot about the socket behind it ......... now need a bloody electrician first to move the socket .............. dohhhhhhhhh

sounds strange but you can put a rad over a socket.

In my house I have a double socket under the radiator under the window. Which i thought odd, however it can be done

Just a thought - but before you put in a second radiator, is the existing one just a single radiator or a double one?
