This freezing then melting scenario has happened for thousands of years and will happen again long after mankind is wiped out. One thing is certain. The thawing of ice caps in the last ice age could not be stopped by wooly mammoths glueing themselves to ye olde M6.

Much of this is passed down by legends such as Moses and his Ark.

It's the melting of the polar ice caps accelerated by high levels of CO2 that are causing our current climate worries but you keep burying your head in the sand.

Overpopulation is the problem. More people, more pollution, more natural disasters. Something that wipes out half or more of the global population would be a benefit to the ecosystem.

Having said that, Vlad the mad pushing the red button would help achieve depopulation and totally fuck the planet.
