Males on fab.

I might be generalising here or pointing out small minorities in the males in fab. But out of the genders that are registered, it’s only males I’ve read asking for

Profile advice. (I did this a few times as jokes, once was actually 1/2 serious)

Messaging advice / Why do I get ignored?

Its apparent to me that some think strangers on the internet can act like your wingman in here, because that’s the type of questions I asked my best mate when I wanted to date a girl from school.

I mean, at this age of adulthood, if we haven’t figured out how to approach a women, what have we been doing up until now?

Girls, when was the last time you asked a question to a friend - “I like someone, how do I aprroach this?’

Because I think us guys haven’t got a clue what to do?

You're assuming that all men have arrived here on the same bus. Many have never chatted up a woman irl for any number of reasons.

I've never asked a friend for advice not because I'm so cool and smooth but because I've had very limited opportunity and I've never discussed my dating or sex life with anyone outside of fab.

Women tend to hunt in packs so more often than not men need advice on how to run the gauntlet, avoid the handbags on the dancefloor and to understand the level of planning that goes into every group toilet visit.

With all of the posts on the menfolk being “desperate” on here (which I don’t think is accurate) then if I don’t get a message I assume that even desperation has its murky depths. Why would I approach someone who doesn’t want to approach me? It’s a vicious circle.

Because a lazy profile is a lazy profile regardless.

If you don't make an effort and are inundated with shitty messages you can't really complain about the quality of profile getting in touch or the lack of effort in messages.

As you give atvice and keep a watch and still 2 weeks later nothing on they profile has changed

And low and behold 19 weeks and still not a thing changed there is just no hope for some

If they aren’t willing to see the flaws and change them what’s the point in helping

In reality I don't have a hundred men on my doorstep waiting for me to open the door, to talk to me.

Asking for advice on how best to approach online isn't the same as talking to someone at a supermarket queue.

I think you're assuming the worst vis-a-vis these fellas' reasons for 'asking for advice'. See, I don't think that most of them are 'asking for advice' - I suspect that a large proportion of them are throwing up their hands in despair at the thirtieth or fortieth carefully crafted, personalised, respectful message of theirs which either gets deleted unread or simply ignored. (I know, I know: they're not entitled to an answer, but after forty utterly unsuccessful goes at it even the most experienced lothario is bound to start doubting themselves and wonder "What the hell am I doing wrong?!"). The best advice for them is Stop Trying So Hard, of course, and until they take this on board they're going to continue to experience frustration, but until they do it is a very very frustrating cycle to be locked in to. Especially if they consider themselves to be a Good Guy, and they're constantly reading in the forums about "Where are all the good guys?! All I get in my inbox is dick pics from slimeballs!!". Dude's like, "I'm right fucking here!!! I messaged you last month! You deleted it unread!!!".

It can be a kind of torture for those 'guys who try too hard' on here.
