I just started Shooter which has got off to a really good start.

Serpent is good too which is a dramatisation oh the life of Charles Sobhraj who killed a load of back packers in the 70's.

Staffordshire

We just binged The Watcher. It's only 7 episodes long but really interesting being loosely based around a true story. Highly recommend!

There's obviously others like The Last Kingdom but that does have eleventybillion episodes - although each one is worth watching just for Uhtred.

Thurrock

Emily in Paris is an easy watch, very chick lit

Didn't think I'd enjoy Selling Sunset but it got me through a painful surgery recovery, the morphine may have helped

There's also times of films on there

Ozark, Stranger Things are also popular but a lot darker than the other things I've suggested

It would probably help if you gave an idea of the kind of things you are into

Dahmer is very well acted

If you don’t mind cartoons there is an adult comedy one that I found funny called farzaar.

Rick and Morty an mother adult animation.

I quite liked mindhunter until they cancelled it.

Hard to suggest as don’t know what you like.

I watched The Net last week, I’d never seen it, but I enjoyed it.

Watched The Edge last night, that’s good if you like gripping dramas, especially when it’s 4 guys chasing one lass up a mountain who witnessed them murder her friend.

Watch the Harlan Coben collection; more twists and turns than you can shake a stick at.

I’m presently watching, The Innocent which is rather good

"I went with the watcher.

He was in a particularly memorable Sex and the City episode as a guy Samantha suggested had ‘the funkiest tasting spunk’

He was also Joe DiMaggio in the newest Blonde film that was released a couple weeks back (still haven’t gotten over it, deeply disturbing film).

"It's about this women who puts Netflix on, searches for Black Mirror and then reads the synopsis herself

sorry I asked!"

I think each Black Mirror is an individual episode on its own ...maybe only the fact that they are 'warped' or could possibly come true in the future is the linking factor???

I watched that over the weekend - very bizarre series

Karen the realtor was the nail technician in Legally Blonde - it’s the way she says “dumbass” says exactly the same way in both films

Yep, it's an anthology with a different story each episode but there are also little Easter eggs calling back to other episodes. It's really good and can also be a bit of a mind-fuck. Black Mirror Bandersnatch is also a decent attempt at a choose your own adventure game.

Most overrated show on Netflix. Its not that deep, or amazing. Some good episodes, dont get me wrong but its not worth the hype. Saying that, Im a big fan Stranger Things which again isnt worth the hype but very watcable. Just finished Dahmer which I enjoyed though some episodes were slow. The Watcher, another slow burn but worth a watch.

Gods Favourite Idiot,

Titans,

Haunting of Hill House,

Nick Krolls standup special...

I think Black Mirror was at its best when it was on Channel 4. Really dropped off after going to Netflix and became a bit Americanised.

Agree on Dahmer, first episodes were a bit slow but got better later.

If you're happy to read subtitles you could try Mystic Pop-up Bar. I think there's 12 episodes.

It's Korean and a bit quirky, but really nice. It's funny and sweet with likeable characters

If you enjoy a good bodice ripper, may I suggest:

The Empress

Sixteen-year-old Bavarian duchess Elisabeth "Sisi" falls in love with her sister's intended fiancé Emperor Franz Joseph and the two later marry. She moves to Vienna and finds herself having to navigate the complexity of court politics and her husband's scheming family members.

Just six episodes
