…stuff!

I was just using an electric hand sander to take a horrible stained 70s piece of furniture back to beautiful raw oak. My fingers have swollen like motherfuckers! My ring started to feel dangerously tight, and I ended up using durex lube to get it off…

What have you used for something other than the intended purpose?

I once built a flat pack wardrobe with a pair of tweezers and a wedge sandal. I didn't have a screw driver or a hammer

The Town by The Cross

I couldn't get the top of a bleach bottle no matter what I did.....

I punched a small hole in the bottle but thought that's gonna dribble .....

Hey presto ..... a biro with the refill rmoved shoved into the hole and I have a very directional spout.

Cos it's small I have great control over usage too.

In fairness virtually everything doubles up as a hammer, kudos on the tweezers though

I once fixed a wandering washing machine that had a ‘leg/foot’ missing by using a bicycle brake block as an impromptu replacement

Did it screw in as well?

Lube is always useful for dangerously tight rings.......

Apparently anything is a dildo if you're brave enough.

My friend made a spreader bar for me out of a broom handle and black gaffer tape. It’s pretty decent

Yes this one has hooks to. It’s brilliant if you’re flexible

I did the c2c cycle and my bike chain snapped about one hour in. I got a silver earring from my friend and welded it in as a chain pin using a jetboil and it lasted about 3 hours till I got to a bike shop

I use my scraper ( filling spatula ) to undo screws on my way as I paint sometimes .

And reopen runs of paint with van keys.

Very silly

Old days we used those little square projectors as a hob to heat up our lunch in sauce pans .

And i used those terrible triple bolt domestic heaters as a sausage grill .

Oh and the funniest …very good

We filtered the used paint with lady tights .

Never go out with out your tights

I changed the chain on a motorbike, I didn't have any tools that could do the job. So I used a metal to remove the old one, it took hours to file a link out of it.
