Any crafty fabbers out there get all excited to make something for someone then when it comes to giving it to them panic that the recipient is going to think it's stupid?!

I think it is a lovely thought, unless it is something totally weird.

I once offered a woman a mirror with a note saying that I could not find any present more beautiful that she is.

Flippin' heck. And I thought Mr KC gifting me a syphilis bacterium plushy toy, with accompanying penicillin plushy, was the hight of romance

Yes!

But it has never happened. As long as the recipient isn't a bellend there's very little chance they will dislike it.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I've foisted my glass creations on everyone. They may have all been accidentally knocked off the shelves.

Every time. And I make a lot of different craft items. Most are completey unique and personalised to the individual. I know many of them are used but it doesn't stop the nerves.

Quite a few times.

I made some sweets a few yesrs ago, they tasted lovely, but looked fucking awful. I had quite a few bad reviews, from family & friends.

It was too late for me to buy anything else as well.

I made my sister's a set of 24 Christmas tree decorations each. This year one is getting a witch and the other a superhero.Last year from my eldest sister I got a crochet willy and a crochet sperm on a keychain. I also got handcrafted chocolate Willy's off another sister, I gobbled those up....
