Fab names.

When you get chatting to someone, or people, do you like to know their real name? Prefer the aspect of anonymity?

I guess it depends if their username is like standing on lego but, I think you know what I mean.

Cheers tiny phone people.

Depends really.

But if the situation evolves I’d like to know their real first name at last.

Had an experience where I was seeing a woman on a regular basis, like 5 days a week during 2 years to discover that she didn’t even give me her real first name

If I’m willing to meet up with someone outside of fab, I give my name, and ask gif theirs.

If I think it’ll just stay on fab. I don’t. Weird I know.

I don’t ask names. Even when chat moves to other platforms. If they want to tell me they can when they are ready.

It’s not a big deal to me either way

Some people really lean in to their Fab alter-ego. So much so that their real name doesn’t seem to fit as well as their chosen pen name. That can be a lot of fun.

Others are just themselves. And for some, sharing their real name is a sign of trust and intimacy - in which case damn right I’ll call them by it.

Depends on how well I get to know someone and if get to the meet and more stage. Think I knew someone's real name I'd still refer to them as their name on here if that's their preference as view it as nickname almost xT

I like to be called Sally when I meet, even though it isn't my real name. When I am Sally I feel sexy, not like the mum and housewife in leggings and a cardigan I really am.

We generally go by our Fab names.

People we know well will know our real ones.

For one off meets or club/social stuff it'll be the Fab ones.

Does it really make a difference if you don't know someone's name, exact age, address, phone number, inside leg measurement or where they holidayed 10 years ago.....

I don't give my name out because it's so unique. I'd have to have a lot of trust in someone and believe they are genuine to be able to tell them.

If I was meeting someone for sex that I didn't know that well or attending a big social I'd use my middle name.

That other woman sounds sexy too

Just realised yesterday that my long standing swinger friend didn't know my real name when I told her not to address a parcel to [username]! So it does happen that sometimes a username will stick.

Last time I met with someone he didn't tell me his name and didn't ask for mine which I thought was weird, first time this has happened to me, but I guess real names don't mean anything.

Sometimes. It depends. Very rarely. Most people call me Meli anyway, even those I'm really close to! I think it's kind of stuck now. It kind of always surprises me when my close friends use my real name. I'm either in trouble or they're being adorkable.

Somewhere in Co. Down

I go by Bo on here even when I meet someone I don't see the need to share my name unless we meet regularly. In saying that I was meeting one person for a few months when we realised we didn't know each others actual names.

I guess it could be a bit more awkward using fab names if the name is something along the lines of pussylicker or something

I don't always tell people, they don't always ask. I guess because my username is actually a proper name, some times I tell them it's my real name, short for Miriam.

But if we're going to meet and I'm giving them my number, they get my real name.

I don't mind giving my real name to people that I've chatted to beyond a superficial level, but most just call me Lily anyway. I don't mind either name as Lily doesn't sound too weird when people call me it in public.

In a previous incarnation on here my username was Theresa Green, and I used to get frequent messages warning me that I shouldn't use my real name because there are weirdos on here....always made me chuckle and remember the old knock knock joke that I'd got the name from. Guess they'd never heard it
