I check my "who's looking at me" and some nice people, it only fair I look back, guage the back & forth. Possibly send an icebreaker message.

I can understand if after reading my bio you don't feel it, too far away, etc. But if you weren't looking for men, why did you look at my profile?

I love a good lurker as much as the next guy, just seems odd.

I look at all sorts of profiles, some make me chuckle, some make me want to message them because they see really nice people (usually outside my age range haha) but I would not block them for messaging me.

We have all men blocked even tho we do sometimes look for men .If we see someone we are interested in we will send a message it saves all the unwanted dick pics etc .

Checking out a profile doesn't mean anything more than just that. If people don't want their profile viewed they can turn it off. Amongst other tools.

Women get enough messages on here without then getting a message from every profile they have looked at.

Plus, I repeatedly perv at some profiles and I’d look like a stalker if they saw the amount of times I’d checked them out

A few couples I know only have men blocked so that they can view a profile without immediately being messaged, allowing them to only engage with guys they like.

This way, once they message a guy they like, that guy will be able to respond to their message and not be blocked.

It seems harsh, but considering how many messages they'd get otherwise, I can understand why they do it this way

A few couples I know only have men blocked so that they can view a profile without immediately being messaged, allowing them to only engage with guys they like.

This way, once they message a guy they like, that guy will be able to respond to their message and not be blocked.

Haven’t read the thread through, that would take far too much effort, so I’m sure this has been said many times before, but if people view my profile and then decide NOT to message me, then to me that tells me that they looked and were not particularly interested in what they saw.

What, then, would I achieve by messaging them to say “hey, thanks for looking at my profile …” ?

People look for many reasons, not necessarily because they fancy you. I always view in stealth as I can’t be arsed with all the blocks from people who saw me look at them 6 hours ago..

It may looked like I viewed a profile but it's more likely that I fumbled my phone and clicked the wrong thing. I frequently back out of profiles I didn't mean to open in the first place.
