I've done a few open water swims but in the summer lol was hoping to go regularly into winter to build my tolerance up but it's £10 a session by me so can't really afford it.

We do.

It's the most mundane/cheapest form of extreme sport possible.

There is something amazing about being bonkers enough to do it. Living near a very big puddle helps.
