My little cat has a fetish for toilet rolls, she likes to pick them up, carry them off then unroll and shred the paper all over the room!

Does anyone else have animals with weird habits?

Used to have a Persian who loved nail files.

She used to rub her mouth and nose on them.

Trouble was if you put one down you couldn't take your eyes off it or she would nick it x

One of our dogs used to like a kick up the arse.

Every time he wanted one he would empty the bin and ransack the kitchen.

My doodle dog loves to sleep behind a curtain ..... he spins and spins till he's all tucked in behind it like it's a little tent. I just hope the curtain rail can take his weight pulling at it!

I had a cat that used to love Midget gems/Wine gums etc. Of course she couldn't chew them, just suck on them for a while then you'd find it later welded to the carpet.

little house on the praire

My cat is weird full stop. Instead of talking into the telephone she nudges it really really hard until you drop it. She sits next to me when im having a wee, gets jealous of visitors although wont go to me when we have any just them. Wont go to the toilet in her tray if there is a tiny bit of wee in there and wont eat her food in the morning until i follow her in the kitchen. Wont finish the entire bowl of food, you have to throw the last little bit away and top it up

One of mine has a thing for hair bands and lids. Another of them pinches underwear and socks.

The one that likes hair bands also runs when post comes to the door. And if I am not in then my post vanishes to the cat bed

My smallest one just has to constantly be with me. He follows me elsewhere .

I had a cat called Sam, he had a little devil-teddy that he would drag round the house, shagging it and wailing we had to hide it at night or we'd get no sleep.

My mums cat waits till mum takes her cardigan off and drags that round the house shagging it and wailing

Oh forgot. The boys love to play in water. They don't care if it's the bath or shower or sink.

And they are all very vocal and head butt if you ignore them

Oh I forgot about 'Kojak'

Not the tough Detective portrayed by Tele Savalas but the ginger tom we had as a kid

He used to wee down the plughole in the bath

and he used to walk to the bus stop with us in a morning

then on getting home from school, he would be sat on a garden wall next to the bus stop on the other side of the road

Fetishes, our cat has developed a death wish, she keeps peeing on anything left on the floor, she has a litter box but this morning it was a dvd case full of pee.

she is out now like a huffy teenager knowing she has done wrong.

My boy will jump on me,and run away in the early hours cos he wants my attention.

He also uses his paw to pull glasses of water to the edge of the bedside table till they fall off - sometimes on me asleep in bed! I no longer take a drink to bed.

He does something similar with the bedside lamps, but they are touch sensitive so he switches them on.

We had that with ours - peeing on doormats and all sorts. We took up the doormats. He's 17 so he's entitled to get mixed up every now and then though

A DVD case would be the smallest litter tray going though

Ours also jumps up on the sideboard and starts knocking things off if you don't feed him. One of his more mercenary habits when it comes to feeding time. It's like 'don't feed me? it's gonna cost ya...'

Lol, thought it was only ours that did this!

We have two, and the male likes to go in the loo, and do the Andrex puppy routine by taking all the loo roll off the roll.

Have to keep the door closed all the time now.

He also likes to jump into the bath just when you first start to fill it, and play with the water until its getting his toes wet, then he jumps out!

One of my mums cats from years ago, had a thing for knitting needles. My mum used to always be knitting whilst watching telly and this cat would jump on the couch beside her, take the bobble-end of the needle in her mouth and drag it out of the garment being knitted, she would then jump of the couch and deposit it under the dining table... she had a whole collection under there

My spaniel was spayed before she even had her first season. She's always liked teddies and soft toys and puts them by her tummy when she wants to sleep.

She looks so cute and we always say she would have made a lovely mother - but for the small fact that she always rips their eyes out first. Never damages anything else on the toy, all the stuffing remains intact, all of them just don't have eyes

our dog has a habit of sneaking potatoes out of the bag and eating them, she snores so loud that we have to kick her out the room as we can't hear anything on tv. and she loves to sit on our laps for a cuddle, it wouldn't be so bad if she was a small dog, but she's 5stone.

Latest thing is for them to play "plug hockey" in the bath, and once they hoof the plug out of the bath they run off with it.... have had to keep the bathroom door closed as its a bugger to find where they have hidden the plug lol.
