Most of the men I've known just want an easy life. For most that has included an expectation that a woman organise everything and wait on them.

I'm not saying all men are like that, but that's been my experience so far.

I have found the former to be untrue and the latter as i like it.

Only a woman would even have thought of posing the question so that should tell you much - most men just aren't as emotionaly needy for either... men are more physically demanding ie. we dont't care how you feel about us as long as you give it up - a pity fuck will do for most

Not me tho, I'm sensetive, respectful and caring

This rings discouragingly true.

Random observation:

The more comments from men I read on here (and a few other anonymous internet) sites, the less I feel I want to shag any man.

I may just go and join a convent.

Everyone has the capability to want you, very few will be capable of loving you.

So i'm going for being loved.

"Can't anyone be both loved and wanted?

To be loved. Even if it were just for one moment. A moment of pure, honest love between two human beings. That stays with you forever.

Everyone can want or be wanted - not everyone can love or be loved.

It's nice to be loved and that's an everyday thing for most people in relationships, wanted seems the wrong word to me, sometimes is nice to be desired or lusted after,

This question is a tough one for me. As I feel that to be wanted by my partner is a sign of being loved. I guess in the past not having sex with my ex was a form of rejection, and made me feel unloved.

But now all great.

Being loved is necessary on many levels, I would be miserable without it

But being wanted fro the pleasure that I can give for the passion that burns within. To satiate a partners needs, perhaps an ego issue, is almost as important as being loved. Not being wanted would make me miserable too.

It is so good to be wanted so bad that you are used up to the point of exhaustion on a regular basis.

Interesting that people have focused on the men wanting love part - I'm more interested in the women prefer to feel wanted part. I kind of disagree with that.

I don't think we are radically different in terms of wants and needs whether we have dangly bits up top or down below.

A lot of how people feel is defined by their personality and coloured by their experiences - so this by no means applies to all.

I think, in very general terms, both men and women want to feel love and the security and companionship that comes with that.

As for priorities, I'd say in a 'normal' (I hate that word) relationship I'd say you start off by wanting that person, then loving and wanting them.

On a site such as this - it's the want that is the driving force for both sexes in the vast majority of cases (though I am aware love does flower here).

It feels great to be loved (and secure in that knowledge) and equally, it feels nice to be wanted (so I'm told!).

I think in terms of men and women on here, being "wanted" comes at the top of a pretty steep sliding scale.

Starting at the top with Wanted - Liked - Appreciated - Noticed - Tolerated - Disliked and then Ignored.

My guess is though, men and women & couples would have a very different opinion as to which of these groupings they fit in.

Nice question though to start the grey matter working.
