"Anyone got tips on how to stop my motorbike tyre leaking air from around the rim of the wheel, that does not involve removing the tyre to clean up the rim ?" Replace the wheel with one that has a clean rim? Do I win £5?

"Anyone got tips on how to stop my motorbike tyre leaking air from around the rim of the wheel, that does not involve removing the tyre to clean up the rim ?" I,ve installed "slime" into all of my bike tyres & bicycle tyres, it's green & a tyre sealant. Not sure it'll work on a rim if the leak area is too big but worth a try and you'll see the green slime as it seals which you can cean the excess off . You'll need a paddock stand & access to an airline. Good luck.

"I'm gonna be that guy and say - get it done properly. Don't mess with bodging tyres they're one of the most important safety features of any vehicle. MrWho." This. Tires and brakes are the two things that shouldn’t be messed with IMHO.
