Sorry to hear that OP

I've not been in your situation so don't feel I can offer advise but, one day at a time is all I can say.

Feel free to message if things get "noisy" and you need a chat

I am so sorry. If I may say just one thing is talk and probably not on FWB. I don’t know you though and maybe it’s what you want to comfort you

My condolences OP

I have been through it myself..... I won't sugar coat it, it's not easy, it will be very raw..... but time is the healer, slowly you will re build your life albeit in a different way. It's a long road unfortunately and difficult to deal with.

I'm so sorry to hear your sad news

I am a widow. I was married for 25 years. Everything was really difficult at first but things do improve over time. I suggest you change the text on your profile as you won't want to receive messages asking to meet you both.

Sooo sorry for your loss.

I lost my partner of almost 30 years to cancer after a 7 year battle. I myself sought counselling with my local hospice for a few years during her illness and after her death.

All I can say is talk to a professional. 4 years later I now have a new gf, also a widow, and life is good.

Hang in there.

I'm so sorry for your loss

There's some charities out there that can help ,look up Cruse bereavement online.

Sending you a big hug ,maybe see your gp too if you're really struggling.

I hope you have a good support network op x

Take it easy on yourself, grief is a very individual personal thing.

I found that when i hit a raw moment i would immediately remember something about them that would make me smile or even laugh. It hurts because we loved them and the two go hand in hand..big hugs op.

Keep yourself free from pressure, including self-imposed. Get support from others who will nurture you, even if you're unsure of what you might want or need. Consider some time in nature, a walk, perhaps.

Sending condolences for your loss.

There’s no right or wrong answer - let yourself feel all the emotions and feelings, take as much time as you need because there is no time limit and just get through a day at a time

Having lost a very close friend at the start of the year OP I can certainly relate to your loss, all I can suggest is find the time to process the loss and grief you must be feeling in the way you feel will help, take one day at a time, live a life she would of wanted you to have and when you have low points (trust me you will) remember a happy moment or two you shared and smile.

Go on in her memory, and you will be happy again
