"I don't drive. Started lessons at 18, again at around 25... My eyesight is shite and I was supposed to lose it by 35 due to a degeneration condition. Lights ain't gone out yet, but I think I'm past the point of reading a number plate at the required distance (no free dog though ) "Hugs. It's not easy getting them at all. I have a customer that comes to my work at a supermarket and I always give her my arm and carry the basket and read out the prices and the labels for her. She used to have a dog but he needed to retire so now she's back on the waiting list. I try to encourage her and tell her well done for getting down to us at the shop on her own. Never nice to feel like you have gone backwards. | |||

My eyesight is legit to the point I'm down to like 50%, or the equivalent of one eye for most folk I guess? But I am so, so much better off than many, and it really doesn't much have an impact on my daily life at all! I just can't drive, and have to up the text on the PC screen a bit.
