No matter what we tell ourselves, it always hurts to some degree when people reject you based on your face. Unlike our bodies, which we have a majority of control over, being rejected based on your face is more personal because it's out of your hands what you look like.

I’m talking about people who block you because of your appearance, I’ve spoken to a lot of people on here that I wasn’t initially attracted to, but met them in real person or got talking to them, to find they are attractive in many other ways….

One photo doesn’t always portray that person, who they are and what is attractive about them.

Personally, I'd prefer a "sorry, not for us. All the best", especially if we've exchanged a few messages and seemed to have got on before the face pic was sent. Seems a bit cold to not reply at all after although it is their choice.

Yes, I would also prefer a "Sorry, not for me / us" message. However, I can completely understand why people don't feel able to send them.

I really, really appreciate it when people make the effort to actually and explicitly turn me down.
