Is anyone else having problems opening files on flash drives since a recent( last 10days) windows update

files and folders wont open that did before , and i'm not able to resize images.......

Nope.

What software are you using to resize photos?

No issues with Lightroom or Photoshop today and I'm a PC user rather than Mac.

i used to use photoshop, but refuse to pay subscription.

i just open file explorer, click on folder, click on image, then click the button to resize

it is allowing images already on the laptop, but not stuff on plug in drives

too weird

Have you tried another usb port. Are all usb drives having this problem? Try a different usb cable.

i know of several people lately who have had pc probs after a update i had one a few months back that totally made my online security null took a few days to sort ..

last week 2 online djs had updates that messed all there dj programs up been told windows 11 is a nightmare

its just the latest (2 yrs old) laptop

they work fine on an older laptop that is not connected to the internet, on purpose so that it doesnt get updated.

which is why i have another laptop no longer connected to the internet so a specific piece of software continues to work.

its just so annoying, as ive also noticed several images have vanished from the drive too
