Feminizing hormone therapy

Have any males been through feminizing hormone treatment? I have a friend who has recently started and just gone through a loss of a very close family member and their emotions are all over the place and they are not feeling good about themselves either at the moment. Would be nice to get an insite into a few things.

Could s/he speak to a charity who specialises in it? They may know more about the issues and be able to help.

The mental/emotional changes are usually much more rapid and pronounced than physical ones with affirming hormone therapy. It's a substantial part of the screening/ consultation and treatment review process for most providers.
