People can only do so much to improve their looks but much for their appearance. Making an effort shows respect for themselves and others. Doesn't have to be posh gear. Most important is smelling sweet!

"Do you think appearance may help or hinder in a professional capacity? Perhaps with credibility.? "

I think body weight can hinder obese people in the workplace. Obesity discrimination is well documented.

There was a study done a few years ago that they are often seen as lazy, lacking in self-discipline, less competent, less conscientious and unmotivated.

Obese workers often have lower starting pay and less hiring success – 45% of employers admitted they were less inclined to recruit obese candidates.

Yes they do. Whether work or in personal matters. I work in a very “alpha personality” industry and am confident I would have progressed faster if I was taller for example.

"Be more specific? In profile pics, how you dress, if your car is clean, how you talk?"

All of the above... And more.. Or less... Its deliberately open to interpretation... Piercings, tattoes, hair, clothes, posture, body language... Anything you want to put into one visual appearance.

Consider the old saying, you don't get a second chance to make a good first imression, it can make or break a first meet. Dress smart, smell good and groom well and I know that sounds old school but I suspect it is still very important.

The basics, yes. And there has to be physical attraction but some of us are attracted to people who aren't typically good looking. I find very good looking people intimidating. Appearance is worth nothing if I can't talk to them.

How someone presents themselves is super important, obviously. I'd absolutely be judging someone based on if they brushed their hair, are wearing clean clothes, smell OK, having got 4 days of pots in the sink, have a footwell full of pizza boxes, have brushed their teeth, clearly it depends on the situation here also. Essentially, I'd sum it up to effort. Did you make an effort to present yourself well, in terms of appearance and behaviour.

As a guy I don't think taking that little extra time in your appearance before a meet does any harm. It shows that you have a little more respect for others and are willing to make the effort.

Turn up in your work gear smelly and dirty gives out all of the wrong signals.

I know I like most guys love the eye candy of seeing a woman dressed up and looking sexy, so why shouldn't we as guys return the compliment.

Yes I always made an effort for interviews etc and it shocks me how some rock up to interviews nowadays!

I always look tidy when I’m out and about, I look like I’m dragged through a bush at home, but I’m not one to judge someone else on what shoes they are wearing or whatnot because I have no clue.

Clean, tidy and presentable is fine.

"I think yes….not even just physically but appearance in how someone is coming across when you look at them…I am struggling with words "

Stature and confidence matters in my industry , particularly in west Africa, even getting out the airports! I’ve learned over the years to dress a certain way , own my physical space, don’t hesitate and pretend to know exactly what you are doing, even if you don’t !

Yes they do.

We have a lady at work who often has horrific body odour. Had she arrived at her interview that way she would never have got the job. She was clean and fresh for her interview. She got the job. Our nostrils often regret it.

Appearance can tell a lot on the surface level, but also can be deceptive. Everything is judged by appearance first however important to distinguish appearance from reality.

(She/ her) in Sensualityland

Appearances do matter in some situations for example the scene. I am not talking about a certain look but a clean and groomed look would be important for me.

It is not a judgment of the person or their circumstances.

It is however, an assessment of whether or not I want to be intimate with them. x

Oh they have, multiple times. They've gone as far as providing a basket with deodorant (the mitchum one which should stop a fucking racehorse from stinking), body spray and sanitary towels for if any of us get caught short. All she does tho is spray masses of perfume which gets combined with the smell and we end up chewing it.

On days where she's niffy she gets put on the bar away from most of the customers. Far from ideal. I'm almost certain she's diabetic which I've been told (but not researched) can make you extra sweaty.

Of course they do, and anyone that says otherwise surely isnt being true.

Not the be all and end all though, for sure - but you at least have to find the other person physically attractive, surely?

Personality can help of course, but even if Bella Emberg had the nicest personality in the world, I'm still not going to fuck her.

Conversely if Kate Beckinsale was an absolute bitch then I wouldnt fuck her either.

Actually I probably would, but I wouldnt cuddle her afterwards. That'll learn her!
