Getting really curious about the clubs and parties

But not the most confident of people

Anyone got any tips on the best way to start or where to go. What to avoid.

Anything would help really. I am single but don’t think I could go alone either…

Most clubs are dress down on arrival so you could try wearing less round the house or nothing

Nope.

Not most clubs. They're either wet (dress down to towel/lingerie on arrival) or dry (clothes until you choose to strip).

There are just as many clubs, if not more, that don't require you to dress down as soon as you enter.

Everyone was new to a club at one point or another and it's not really anything to be nervous about.

You're a single female, so everyone will be happy to see you, which will help in getting conversations going.

The vast majority of people at clubs are friendly, even if they aren't looking to play with you.

Just treat it like any other social setting. Chat, be amiable and don't worry too much

You’ve got Club F a few miles away. I haven’t been but I’ve only heard good things.

If you’re really nervous about going you could post a meet for the night you want to go. Someone might be willing to walk in with you and show you the ropes but make sure you’re clear if that’s all you want from the meet.

You've got two clubs relatively close by in Club F and Shhh. Neither require you to dress down on arrival meaning you can sit in the bar fully clothed just seeing how you feel first time round if that is what you want to do.

We've done both and they're both nice.

Picking a date you want to go and keeping an eye out on the updates to see who is going to be there is a good idea then you can try to get chatting with people beforehand and have a face in the crowd to look for.

Just go OP, I can guarantee you will love it, and wonder what you were nervous for when you are there. There are some many friendly gorgeous people in clubs. I’ve been on my own plenty of times, and made friends beforehand thru kik group chats for events. X

I’m in the same situation, I think I’d rather meet someone who has experience with going to clubs and have a few socials with them and chat to them about what goes on and how things a run so I’d feel more comfortable when going.

Perhaps go along to one of the organised socials first. They’re advertised in the meets section regularly (if there’s one near you). It’s a great ice breaker and usually a chat group you can join in with beforehand.

A couple of events we’ve been to at our nearest club have also had a chat group and people have got to know one another through that. Good luck

I sometimes go to Shhh club alone. Admittedly my first ever club visit was with a guy and I was still really nervous, however there was no need to be as everyone was/is lovely

Not all that North of North London

Look to see if there are socials or newbies nights planned at local clubs where other people will be in a similar situation.

Everyone is nervous before their first club visit, and afterwards most find themselves wondering what they were worried about
