"So, I've been a smoker for the past 8 years, I know starting when I was 35! (When I worked as a carer I found they had loads of cigarette breaks!) and have been smoking around 20 a day since then, since Saturday morning I have smoked just 18, this is literally a thread to say how bloody pleased with myself I am, do I want to stop completely? I think I do but not quite there yet. Other times I've said I'm giving up I've got half a day in and begged doughnut for the pack and he has given in but this time, I haven't begged (not begged, I've asked) and he has said no to me as "level headed" me asked him too. I've not felt that massive urge to have one all the time either, lunchtime at work is a very different feeling now as I have cut that out, I only smoke at home outside now (which I always did). Maybe by the end of the week, when I've cut down to three, I might be ready to say "no" completely! " Read Allen Carr's How to Stop Smoking; you'll be off them for good and even happier than you are with yourself now. I've been where you are and I'm so glad go glad and lucky to have escaped the trap. Good luck! | |||
