None of them do. There’s a study that says women who instigate contact with men are more likely to sleep with them within 2 days and end up in a long term relationship and 50% of those get married.

So I think they’re scared of that in here.

Yeah I think this is the best way to contact someone. Especially in a thread where you are showing similar interests. But then again I've had 1st contact by a woman telling me off for something I said and we ended up getting on and chatting for over 3 years everyday on WhatsApp! Friends on Facebook etc, but we've never met in person. She contacted me a day before I left UK and she was busy, my flight was paid for. We are great friends though she's helped me through my travels just by being there to talk too.

Chance encounters and finding someone you click with is gold! It's a good day when you make a new friend!

I think I’ve only ever messaged first a couple of times and I think those times were because I’d seen them at a club or social but not made contact at the time.

Someone messaged us yesterday and I admitted he’d been on my hotlist for a while but I never would have sent that first message.

When I had my single profile it's how I always did it. Filters up, scrutinise forum posters with a clipboard and checklist in hand, send first message when I thought someone was on my wave length. I don't care about getting rejected, it's just part of life.

I think winks are easier for women and couples than it is for men. Them winking is a sign of interest but it seems men winking is seen as a lack of effort

Yeah I think this is the best way to contact someone. Especially in a thread where you are showing similar interests. But then again I've had 1st contact by a woman telling me off for something I said and we ended up getting on and chatting for over 3 years everyday on WhatsApp! Friends on Facebook etc, but we've never met in person. She contacted me a day before I left UK and she was busy, my flight was paid for. We are great friends though she's helped me through my travels just by being there to talk too.
