The perfect female body

Jump to newest

Researchers at the University of Texas in their scientific study have identified that the perfect female body measures 5’5” in height, while the bust/weight/hip measurements are 38-24-35. They name Kelly Brook as the celebrity with that body.

Personally I think it’s all bollocks as I see attraction in all shapes and sizes of women.

Thoughts ?

No the study is correct, everyone else not like this should do the right thing and hit the gym and do all the surgeries until ideal.

Anything less is unacceptable.

I’ve not the read the study but I guess it’s composed of the “average” of hundreds of replies and responses so is only ever supposed to be a generic middle of the road result.

While I agree with the finding attraction across all shapes and sizes thing, like with most things in life I guess the average person will like the average body shape / size and fewer people will be attracted to those on the outliers, much like most women will like an average penis size to a whopper or a tiddler ..

They could insert metal lengthening rods into your leg bones and spine. I need three inches chopping off which will be problematic

The crazy thing is, they really can do this.

It's utterly mad. Literal rods inserted and adjusted each day to break and stretch the bones.

Gives me shivers.

At last, an honest reply.

All of this pandering about personality, how everyone's attractive in their own way. Pah. Nonsense.

No, there's been a study, proof, facts.

I'd be interested to know what the ideal man is though, is there another complimentary study? I assume it's 6'5" tall, over 210lbs, doughy, like a well kneaded loaf and too sarcastic for his own good.

I'd like to see 10 women with a 38" bust, just to point out that there would be very little similarity between any of them when you factor in back size, cup size, and breast shape, ergo this is bollox.

Also, I'd like to see 10 women, but that's another thing.

Both these ladies have since said in many interviews that they bowed to industry demands of the time and starved themselves to be those proportions... and were miserable the entire time, so I don't think it's very likely to be naturally occurring in many.

The shape and size they are now is waaaayyyyy different and much closer to real life expectations

I know it’s rubbish personal opinions. It’s the same when they mathematically recreate the perfect face with distance from nose and symmetrical, it looks weird.

I'm not threatened by the notion of a perfect female body, I don't have space in my brain for that. It's a bit like the idea of a perfect meal, we know it probably exists but everyone's idea of it will be different and nobody wants to eat it three times a day for ever. However it will appear in cookery books and TV shows.

I discovered very recently that leg lengthening is an actual thing.

They break both your femurs and insert metal rods that can give you an extra 3 inches

Go the whole hog and get your lower legs done too, and you can gain another 3 inches.

Not sure what surgery exists that'll help me grow 5 inches...

I discovered very recently that leg lengthening is an actual thing.

They break both your femurs and insert metal rods that can give you an extra 3 inches

Go the whole hog and get your lower legs done too, and you can gain another 3 inches.

I had a metal implant in my spine that made me half an inch taller. You could get half a dozen of those

Get it all done and gain 9 inches?

That would make my body 9 inches longer but still have little legs

Would be a great ice breaker at parties though "

But none of my blouses would fit

Different people like different things. There is no such thing as perfect. I think somebody is mistaking perfect for popular.

Having said that, they got the it about Kelly Brook spot on.

I don’t agree that everyone is “perfect”. Fairer to say that none of us is.

I’m not happy with my current physique, and I’m right not the be, I’m overweight and not as fit as I could / should be. Winter plan in place to tackle this and get back into the habits and routines that get me back to the shape I was in a few years ago. The pressure to do this comes from myself, not what others think, and is driven by wanting to be healthier and stronger. The beneficiary of this effort will be myself.

Saying everyone is perfect is a bit of a copout.

It is bollox, and sometimes I can only assume that they pick something that's ostensibly "fun" in order to essentially teach students how to organise, perform, and present research, without the worry about having to produce something that a serious professor could say is wrong... I never went to uni, so I don't really know, but often I believe that the end result here is not actually remotely important, just the lessons along the way.

Either way, unless they did one for blokes, it's misguided and misogynist at best, and it clearly lacking (or the reporting of the results is...) with regards to controls like who the audience of this perfect body is... last I knew (in a cliché way), someone from Brazil probably likes a different sized ass than someone from Japan.

Break your shins and get stretchers put in…

But then you would need to break both femurs to extend those too, or else your legs would be all out of proportion…

Oh then your body might start to look wrong so you would need to stretch your spine on a rack or something

Then get those hoops that those women in that African tribe wear that makes their necks really long and “elegant”

That would make you taller… I reckon that would be worth doing to make you more “perfect”

You make a good point. Thing is when it was done before the socials existed... It was treated as it was deserved..propping up a lectures desk.. . Now it gets loaded to a server somewhere and these folks search around to find this stuff. Probably.

"Why were they doing this research, what was the aim?"

I don’t know the answer to that however the original data was collected back in 2016! They recently revisited it and apparently nothing has changed in terms of peoples opinions. Just to reiterate they said Kelly Brook is a close example of the said perfect body. It was the data sample that came out at 24 waist as the mean. They did say - quote “ The study shows that a body stereotype that women consider “somewhat plump” is actually the one that comes closest to perfection and what they consider a “harmonious body”.” in quote

In catwalk terms, anything above size 10 is plus size. You'll find any models who are size 12+ are described by their agency as plus sized. It's very outdated....

Lacey, the research mentioned that the 24" waist referred to a "somewhat plump" image. Size 4 waist and size 8 hips plump?! Shoot me now!!!

Definitely don't have those stats.

I'd need to shrink 4 inches to start with

That's a mad small waist. Same size as my teenage daughter and she is tiny

Apparently my bust measurement is ideal but not the rest of me. My butt is 7 inches too big

"24" waist? Is that even physically possible?"

Yes, very possible. Mine was 23 inches a few years ago. It's currently 28 but I'm losing more as time goes on. I'm hoping to get down to 25 when I hit my goal weight.

You’re clearly joking, because as if body shape is relevant to brain power

I do think though, that it you'd only really find it on very slim and petite women. My mum was known for her waist when she was young. My dad could wrap both of his hands around her waist and have his fingers touch. She was only a size 6/8 though.
