Well even if it's in my own head.

Anyways a couple of times I have for reasons I can't believe made it onto the page 1 most fabbed.

Not that it's really a big deal as

I know that there's some regular forumites who have also,

You think it's all party invites and red carpet events

(joke)

However it's a very strange thing,one minute your nothing then suddenly your getting hundreds and hundreds of messages telling you that your the most beautiful stunning woman on fabs blah blah blah....

Then you either drop off the page or you make picture private.

And it's like a switch has been flicked and all the adoration and attention is gone you go from one extreme to the other.

Whilst I very much appreciate the messages but we do indulge in a very shallow lifestyle where you are forgotten as soon as the vinegar stroke is completed.

Have you ever had your 15 mins be it here or beyond?

They reckon good or bad we all have the spotlight at some point in our lives.

Most of my pics/vids have had 100-200 fabs within the first 24h or so, then I tend to put them on friends only. I don't think I'm quite front page material

I don't think living in a really unpopulated area helps with fabs, once you've fallen off the new pictures pages and you're only being seen on local updates, it dwindles. The influx of messages isn't for me though, while it brings some compliments and an ego boost, it also brings an increase in the less savory characters on fab.

I’ve been on P1 quite a few times and you’re right there’s a deluge of messages and then it tapers off. But I’d probably say the amount of messages I get overall is higher because getting to P1 gets you added to a lot of hotlists.

I do think it’s kinda funny when someone accidentally hits page 1, then they start posting new pictures daily trying to get that rush again. There’s a fair few people on here doing that, even deleting old photos so they can upload them again in hopes they get back on page 1

Yeah ago I made it on page 1 but on fabs brother site, it wasn’t very thrilling

I've just had a look and a quick tally which determined I've had 12 messages in the last 7 months which is pretty much normal for me and any new pics I post very rarely hit double figures immediately so I can't really relate to the 15 mins of fame thingy.

I peaked in Sixth Form. A friend who was having his 18th kept double-checking that I was coming, even after I confirmed I was. I wondered why, until I saw the invitations, which said , in bold letters at the top, *Elephantis* will be there.
