Define “down south”

Down south to me, is the borders or Sussex, London, Wales, Cornwall…..

See advice in Liverpool Dogging thread. Make sure you carry your Dogging Blanket™ at all times!

Oh, I see. When "down south" was mentioned I hastily assumed the inference was for the Antipodes... specifically Tasmania.

I have a dog-legged view of things.

Polly is correct about the 'blanket. I believe an eBay shop is imminently being established for this.

I would love to share the URL but Fab rules mandate that we cannot post external links. X

Try Isle of Dogs. Or maybe Barking? Don't forget your Dogging Blanket™

I know of a ghost writer who could help with some of the narrative of these invaluable guides. I met her once, she came all the way down via Greyhound coach.

I concur with Polly, above, peruse the other thread about Dóggìng. Then paws for thought.

@Polly, what constitutes a Dogging Blanket™? Is is the thread count, the weave or the print? Would a Pashmina suffice?

Our range of Dogging Blanket™ consists of various styles. For late spring and early autumn a Pashmina might suffice as a single person emergency replacement for Dogging Blanket™, but unless very large and good quality Pashmina wool it will fail to give adequate warmth, cover up and general comfort for use by a couple. Very definitely inadequate for the severe weather conditions of the UK winter, but could perhaps be okay in warmer climes. As for summer, a Pashmina is unlikely to give enough protection from damp grass when used for either picnicking or shagging...

In terms of pattern, we find that Houndstooth is very popular. Some people prefer to choose from our range of tartans such as West Highland Terrier, Dandie Dinmont, and Gordon Setter. And of course for the single lady there is always the Rough Collier tartan, more commonly known as "The Lassie".

I have to say this has been an edification for me.

Have any of the Dogging Blanket™ designs been featured in Vogue©, sorry, Dogue magazine?

They would be a hit on the Catwalk. (I knew there would be a cat and dog connection somewhere!)
