He only really comes in for about 30 mins. Cats mostly sleep in the day and he mostly sleeps on the cat tree or on the sofa. If I want some peace I can feed him then he goes for a nap after .

"I don’t have any pets, but it seems strange to me why you would let a cat or dog in bed. I love dogs, but the hair annoys me so sharing a bed with a dog would be hell for me. Do you have pets? Are they allowed into your bed? Thoughts?" Get a hairless dog then, like a Chinese Crested, they are largely bald, with just a bit of hair round the head, neck and tail, but it’s more like feathering than actual hair. I’ve had cats for years, current ones like to lie on top of me and next to me, or under the fleece cover, the one on top will come in underneath the duvet if it’s cold enough for her. Have had a dog too but she preferred her own beds (she had 3, one under my bed, and one in the corner, and one in the living room

"As much as I love my cat I prefer him down stairs, even more so now the weather is wet. Wet paws and fur are not for my bed " Is your cat wet 24/7. I always think that people who prefer their cats to sleep away from them, don’t really love them at all, as cats love company especially when sleeping

"I'm sure my Labrador would love to sleep on my bed but he's not allowed upstairs. I don't mind having a snuggle with him on the sofa though " Lucky Lab?

He wakes us up at silly o'clock for cuddles or food, he's in and out like a yoyo as he has more of a social life than me with his friends who sit out side and meow and sometimes follow him in. He is often a dead weight on the bed you can't move when just wanting to change sleeping position. The wet paws and fur was just a little bug. My cat also picks when he wants company which is when you often find us snuggled on the sofa together. To say I don't love my cat would be far from it.

"Most certainly. It may be an idea for those struggling with heating bills this winter to rethink their stance on how to stay warm if they are against pets on bed and sofa, the heat and warmth given off from even a small dog or cat when you and your pets are wrapped up in a blanket or under covers is extremely effective." Heard it all now! Get three dogs two cats couple of gerbils and sleep with them .........

" Put like that makes sense My cat goes out anywhere between 8.30 am and 12pm, and is back in usually before dark. She is in all night, she doesn’t have 24hr access to outside. She doesn’t usually bring her BF back, the last time I saw him she beat him up

Heard it all now! Get three dogs two cats couple of gerbils and sleep with them ......... " I'm guessing you don't understand how body heat works, and huddling together to stay warm. Dogs and cats don't regulate their body heat in the way we do and at a higher temp, they are essentially little furnaces and you will gain far more warmth laying next to a dog or cat than you would another person. It's simple science and fact, and low wit mockery won't change that.

I can think of few thinks that turn my stomach than sharing sheets with a four legged thing.

"He's one for you Would it put you off meeting or even sex if you went back to someone's house and there was dog cat, whatever else hair everywhere in their bed? " I always warn people, tell them not to wear black and hang their clothes up... The choice is theirs. I wouldn't be able to sleep in a bed where a dog slept though, I'm allergic.

"My cats are allowed in the bed. Trying to keep them out at this point I’d redundant. I will never allow a dog in my bed. It’s not how you train a dog effectively. If you want them to understand the food chain, they need to know they sleep below. " That’s not how you train a dog effectively? Really?
