proud fluffy post - beware!

My 3 year old has his leg in a cast from foot to knee after jumping awkwardly from the sofa on Monday, he hasn't let it bother him one bit. I thought I'd be waiting on him hand and foot but he's getting around great on his bum and knees, and currently laid out on the floor playing with his toys. I'm amazed. Kids are so resilient

My sister had perthese disease when she was 5 and had both legs in plaster with a broom handle between the ankles to keep the legs set at a certain distance. Every 6 weeks she had to have them repositioned wider apart so the cartilage grew back evenly.

She was in a wheelchair for 17 months and never let it stop her. She used a skateboard, resting the bar on it and paddling with her feet. She hopped up and down stairs etc

To this day the consultant still shows patents pics of her on rollerskates in her plasters to show that although their child will be in plasters its not the end of their child hood

Ahh hugs to your little one, I hope he recovers soon.

My little man is walking now, although he walked better when he was 11 months, he can bump his head on fresh air at the moment

Luckily they literally bounce back

I work in a hospital, and it never ceases to amaze me how kids can just cope with ailments that would have some adults I've seen rolling about on the floor, crying for medical attention. They just crack on
