This is one for the guys mainly...

I'm 47 and with 3 kids I've decided it's time to get myself some grapes of the seedless variety. My question is this:

How does it affect a man's cum? Does it go from full fat to semi-skimmed? And how long afterwards do I have to not lift a finger (Siren's dreading that part ith me sitting on my throne ordering her to come hither and tither)

I had my tubes out when I was 37 (51 now). I had no probs having it done and, unlike the guy after me, didn't freak out when the Doc came near me with the laser!

How does it affect your cum? With me, mine went very watery for about three years after, then came back to the usual thickness after that. Have to say that the first time I came after everything had healed (about four weeks), it was the most intense ejaculation I had ever had!!! Just wish I could repeat it...

Now when they tell you to keep a bag of frozen peas on your nut sack for 24-48 hours after - make sure you DO IT! And make sure you DO take the pain killers they give you WHEN they say you should (makes it all a LOT easier and back to work much quicker - I photographed a wedding less than 48 hrs after!)

One thing I would suggest - get a sperm count done BEFORE you have the op. I took 17 MONTHS to get the all-clear - not the 8-12 weeks they tell you. Found out after the op that I could have made a nice living from being a sperm donor as I had an exceptionally high sperm count AND what are called 'Super Sperm' (they wear red pants outside their blue leotards..... ) which are highly resistant to spermicides (and which explained a couple of 'accidents' I had in my 20's...)

Other than that, man-up and go for it if it's the right thing for BOTH of you...

Having had this done in 1980, it does not hurt when the doctor uses the two brick!!!!!

It takes about three months to clear out the active sperm and yes a sample is required. It makes very little difference to performance the positive side is it is effective birth control, with no limits to its use.

Mine took only 7 minutes from dropping trousers to getting dressed with only slight discomfort for a few days.

My other half had to get it done....twice!!!! It didnt work first time. They knocked him out second time but he wasnt up nor down with. Come on guys us women give birth in the mng and are sent home in the afternoon and back to washing pans next day!!! Hides behind the sofa....lol.

I had it done a couple of years ago, had it done in Feb and it took until July for my all clear, as for The pain thing think it depends on the doctor mine was very gentle lol, I got home and had sex the same night and was back at work the next day no discomfort at all and very little bruising,

I have to get it done cos I only have to look at a woman and she'll be fookin pregnant. Nailed both my wives within a month of getting married to them, and with Siren I've had two kids and one miscarriage (she miscarried on valentines day almost two years ago and our daughter is 1 in January!)

Had mine done 11 years ago, took the cowards way out and opted for a general anaesthetic, (safer for the surgeon - would have lamped anyone using surgical tools on me nads). Mild pain afterwards but not enough to stop me shagging 3 days later, so libido wasnt affected. All clear after 8 weeks

Had a minor scare bout a year later when i felt the scar tissue which had formed inside, straight down to docs thinking the worst but got told it is a common occurrence

, ) about 5 years ago, i ve suffered a pain in my left side ever since the op' right side no problems, apparently its one of the possible effects ... I was back at work about 4 days later, i was still a bit tender at that point..

Hubby had his done 3 years ago. It meant that I could stop taking hormonal contraceptives and my libido shot up like crazy!

I watched the procedure (call it morbid curiosity). He was sore for 48 hours but since he had it done of a Friday was back at work on Monday. After 4 weeks we go the all clear regarding sperm count and we've no regrets. Had mine about 45 years ago, in those days they only use the freezing spray can to numb things a bit. Still felt it though.After the tests for sperm afterwards I had a note to say that "you may now proceed as normal" ! No regrets at all, biggest problem was convincing girl friends that I wouldn't make them pregnant!

Yeah I had the same , it was scar tissue so they operated under general a it hurt when I came . Had it done again 6 months later as it ha reappeared , lump, but this time it's attached to the vein that feeds the resticle, so if it was removed I could lose my resticle due to losing blood flow ..... Don't do it if your expecting it to be 100% afterwards , just google how many have had it done with problems ..... Great idea just be prepared for the possible implications, one if my balls is much bigger than the other and after a scan , two days ago, they said its a build up of fluid which they can't do anything about ..... Do it for YOU, not for anyone else !!!!!

I had this done when I was 36 and already had 3 kids. Its a relatively easy thing to go through, I went to work the next day and other than bruising there was not much to deal with. I had stitches which had to be taken out a week later because they didnt disspolve (do they ever?) but was having sex within a few days.

On the question of 'sperm, spunk has two main component, semen and sperm - the vasectomy removes the sperm, so the semen doesnt change much. I didnt notice any difference at all.

I had it done 2 years ago, 10 mins was all it took. You feel a little tugging sensation in you stomach while the doc is pulling about and after, for the first day you get a dull ache similar to the after effects of being kicked in them but it is tolerable (in my opinion). My semen never changed in it consistency or volume and I was back at work 2 days later. Had sex after one week. You need to submit samples at 12 and 16 weeks. Did you know the tubes can re conduct again as much as 10 years down the line but highly unlikely!

Had it done in 1991 after my now ex wife had our 3rd child.

I only had to think about sex and she fell pregnant.

It does hurt after- think a knee to the groin Rugby style bruise but it fades fast.

I was done in the local doctors surgery midday friday, back to work officially on the monday but in reality with 3 kids, was busy all weekend.

Had mine done a couple of years ago now.

Op pretty painless. The anti-bacterial 'freeze' spray/wipe shocks you more than the tiny incision (no stitches needed afterwards which is a relief).

You can feel them pulling the tubes but it doesn't hurt badly - more just weird - and neither does them snipping and tying the tubes off.

Tiny bit of blood afterwards from the incision, but your nads do swell up even if the doc is gentle after about 2 or 3 days. So expect a pair of hairy aubergines in your undies for a few days after.

After that, it settles down. I only provided one sample about 12 weeks later which was mailed off in a specially prepared tube & envelope you are given (I think! I can't recall if I posted it or dropped it in the docs) and you get the results back a bit later saying you are either clear or not. Quick and easy. I certainly didn't have to keep visiting the docs with pots of jizz every few weeks.

As for cum - there is absolutely no discernable difference in terms of look, consistency or amount.

I was back bonking, gently, within a few days. Within a week - ten days, you'll be right as rain.

The most disconcerting thing for me was the number of women who got to see my cock that day - the doc who performed the op was male but everyone else was female.

Had mine done 3yrs ago, awake through the procedure at a private clinic froze me nuts but when he made the first cut i yelped as i could feel the pain, had a couple more injections to numb them a bit more (obviously cus my balls are so big they needed more lol)15 mins later i'm on my way home about 3pm. At 7pm i went out to play a snooker match(which i won shock) and proceeded to have 7 or 8 pints of painkilling Carling, went to work the following day in the afternoon and only side affect really was my balls ached for a couple of days, has never affected any of the workings at all and cum as much now as before. hope this helps

I had mine done 17 yrs ago now , just after we found out we had another child on the way !!

Was in and out the clinic in less than the hr and took it easy for 2 weeks, they ached for a few days but were ok ...

Did have an issue after a yr or so as i kept getting alot of pain on the right side when i ejeculated

.... so had to go back in under general anaesthetic to have more of the pipe removed as i had a ball of scar tissue built up where the pipes had rejoined

All is well now and has been for a very long time ....

My advise would be to just rest and take it really easy for a while ...

Don't do what my ex did...he didn't let on his 'disolving' stitches hadn't disolved till nearly a month later.

Being a theatre nurse at the time I brought home the tools of torture and took them out myself....they'd got embedded though and I had to go digging a bit.

Was going to get it done a while ago. Went to see the doc and she answered all my questions very matter-of-factly.

I was all ready to book the appointment but then things turned sour between me and the missus so I never got it done.

As I'm single I don't have the same need to do it anymore as I use condoms with meets anyway.

Back to full working order the same night, and back to work (in engineering) the next day.

Bit of swelling (she loved that bit) but nothing a couple of paracetamol cant shift.

That's not how it works these days. A man is capable of deciding if he doesn't want anymore children, regardless of how his wife/partner feels about it. A woman can do the same if she feels she doesn't want anymore children.

In our case, Siren is in full agreement as she suffers terribly if she uses the Pill (yes, she's tried many varieties of it) and I see no reason for her to pump unneccessary chemicals into her body when a simple op on my nads has the same result.
