How often do you get your boobs measured?. Today I discovered they recommend getting measured every 6months. I have worn a 36B or sometimes C for around 20years. My weight stays stable so it never occurred to me my breast size would change. Turns out after being measured today I am actually a 34DD.

I only decided to get measured today as my daughter was trying things on and thought it would pass the time. Glad I did though.

Having met you in person OP, I'd guess you're not the new size either.

Youre very slender, so I doubt you're 34 inches underbust.

I'd recommend to any lady to check out Boob or Bust, on Facebook or online.

The way they recommend being measured, ditching the +4 inches method is a game changer

Bluebelle my band size is 34, did they +4 you?

I measuring myself quite often as I'm loosing weight. But I use boob or bust and do it myself, too many shop measure in the old ways.

What a great outcome too it’s like getting a promotion when you need a bigger size!

I haven’t for a long time but I do know it varies slightly with different brands

Hardly ever.. I know I wear the wrong size.. But I find it so difficult.. I've had some not too pleasant experiences with ladies who've tried to measure me, they end up getting frustrated, because nothing fits properly... Braless is my way forward.

No idea what they done. First they got me to try on 34D which was too small but must admit the 34DD was much more comfortable.

Not very often.

I last measured at a 32, but always go up a band size for comfort. Cup size also varies depending on brand and weight... Can't afford to keep buying different sizes.

If you have an inch tape, measure under your boob that measurement is your band size. Then you measure around the fullest part of your boobs. Each inch over your band size is a cup size. Check out boob or bust they have a guide how to measure yourself

Last got measured during my first pregnancy, so 14 years ago. I too go up a back size because I can’t breathe if I wear a 30. And I know my cup size is one of two, but it depends on the fabric, style and fit.

Never, I'm qualified enough to fit myself which is handy. My size certainly has fluctated. I initially grew to a H, then went back down to a FF, then back up to a GG and now I've been pretty steady at a G for a number of years. My band size has been quite stable at a 30 though it can vary with brands so I have some 28s and some 32s.

It's worth remembering that a 34C has the same size cups as a 30DD. If you've been wearing a bra 2 band sizes too big, it's entirely reasonable to think that the cups are likely at least 2 sizes too small.

That would be the same size cups with just a smaller back. If you can tighten your current bra by 2 inches and don't find it too tight in the front then maybe but for a bra 2 band sizes too big not to be falling off you, it usually means the cups are too small.

38B would suggest that your full bust is only 2" bigger than your underbust. Very few women have genuinely that little difference between the two measurement.

I think that A and B cup bras essentially should be so rare, because they should in theory only suit people who have absolutely no bust projecting out or with max 2" of projection. Even women with very small breasts will easily have 3" plus of projection from the chest wall.

I might struggle with a smaller band as I have sensory issues with clothing. I'll definitely give the B Or B sizes a go, but it may not comfortable.

That's fair. I've recently sometimes have to wear looser bras and compromise fit because of issues with rib pain that is aggravated by anything restrictive. The down side is I end up slouching more or with back pain from my boobs not being properly supported. It's a pain.

Sounds like they just gave you a sister size to what you currently wear. If you go up/down a band size you can do the opposite to the cup size and it will still fit.

E.g 30D = 32C or 28DD etc
