It's is quite literally the best thing. And likewise, poor grammar really stresses me out.

There's very little that makes me stop reading someone's profile quicker than a lack of punctuation.

It's nice, but I've started getting a bit cheesed off with grammar nazis who use it as a way to belittle others.

The online dating world is the worst with loads of "if u tipe like dis DO NOT CONTACT ME!!!"... It's often a way for people who wish they were cleverer to curate a more educated image. A bit like getting angry about Oxford commas, it's just blatant smart-arsery.

As long as I can understand what's written or said it's all good.

I sometimes feel a bit awkward if someone has spelled something incorrectly and I reply using the correct spelling. Not in an attempt to correct or belittle but simply because I need to use the word in my response

I type everything with the intention of spelling it right, but I also type fast to keep up with my thoughts and accidents happen.

I suppose I could go back and proofread at times, but it somehow feels less genuine to my thoughts to do that.

As for text speak... again, eh. In moderation, it's not the worst stuff I could read.

I wouldn't say grammar is sexy, but sure it's nice when a man can spell. I certainly wouldn't hold it against him if he struggled.

I think it's sexier to watch him grab the wheel of his car and drive to the lovely cosy lodge place with big logs and coffee.

Clear communication is generally preferable, and good grammar and spelling helps achieve this.

That said, I have toned down my younger ‘grammar nazi’ attitude a lot for a few reasons:

- I rarely practice what I preach;

- not everyone has the privilege of having had good education;

- even those that do may find that things like neurodiverse conditions kneecap them in this regard.

Discovering later in life that I have ADHD was a humbling lesson for me.
