So when I say proper tradesmen I obviously mean carpenters as everyone knows that other trade's are just a bunch of chance takers and wannabes.

Anyways

What's your power tool brand of choice?

I've always been Makita but it just doesn't seem as well made and ergonomically designed these days.

Thinking of shifting my loyalty to Milwaukee and maffell.

As to tools shifted from DeWalt to hikoki, then recently bought a whole pile of erbaur coz if it's nicked I haven't lost thousands and it seems in general just as good as the hikoki

Milwaukee for a long time now, some other decent stuff out there but can't beat them for price and amount of kit they do

Work wise I use a makita impact wrench but it's a cheap copy does the same as makita but I don't worry about dropping it of scaffolding x

Bosch power tools for me i do nothing with wood all my works is with steel and copper.

Work a lot with a large German company and get free replacement if I brun something out.

Festool if you have the money , but then in my experience having used a few items I wasn’t overly impressed.

I’ve been a makita man through and through yet my business partner is dewalt . Having many conversations about tools some are better then others . His track saw is more powerful then mine yet mine is lighter and more compact . Is extractor fits all tools yet makita you have to buy the adapters to suit each item . My trimmer seems a lot more robust then his . My jigsaw cuts a lot better as his more hacks even with correct blades . Dewalt is more bulky , makita Macpac boxes can be a pain to open …………. The list goes on .

Personally and I’m sure you have , make a visit to your local tool depo so you can hold the items . I’m very much a see and feel sort of bloke .
