I’ve worked in make dominated environments a lot.

So my first reaction is “ how the hell are you going to drive a forklift in those!”

My liberal self thinks. Knock yourself out and wear what you want, if you were ever going to go out in those, 2022 is that year to do it.

I wear nail varnish now and again (a throw bock from My school days, and it rarely gets a mention.

I wouldn't say taboo but it's not something you see every day.

You are entitled to wear what you want. Women are entitled to like it or not. If you want to broaden your appeal don’t wear stuff that sone won’t like. Or be yourself and focus on those who appreciate you in some fab heels.

Life doesn’t have to be this complicated

Prefer flats myself but whatever you want to wear then embrace it. Sooner or later someone will admire your individuality.

Nope. The word on the Minneapolis streets are that you can be lofty or diminutive when wearing heels.

Heels enhance the probability of getting laid. It’s science.

I don't think it's ever been Taboo. Obvs you wouldn't wear them to anywhere a woman wouldn't.

Women who wear massive heels don't wear them at work .... ( i know there are exceptions ) as a rule.

I've never needed heels to get laid, it's not really a requirement anymore I don't think.

I was being ironic. I generally wear flats these days myself.

It certainly shouldn’t be.

I was dommed once by a guy wearing heels and a waistcoat corset. He was straight as an arrow, but loved mixing up his choices of clothing. It was really attractive.

I prefer flats, mostly as I'm pretty nimble and generally move a lot more smoothly in flats

I don't think it taboo at all these days or even controversial. However its doesn't mean lots more women will fancy you. I think that's more a matter of what people are attracted to in a person's image than their feelings on societal norms and whats ok to wear (or not).

Anyways regardless of what you wear what's most important (with regards attraction and image) is being comfortable in your own skin and totally owning your look.

I don’t think taboo is quite the right word, it is about acceptability. Theoretically in this day and age it shouldn’t be a problem but inequitably, it still is. …

It is acceptable for a woman to wear flat shoes, jeans trousers etc, and be feminine. It is not however ‘acceptable’ and transcends convention if a man were to wear a skirt, and or heels…. but accept some feel comfortable doing so … but so very very rarely.

If I’m in Rachel mode, I will wear a skirt and (always) heels .. I think that is more acceptable / tolerable, than if I was in bloke mode to wear the same.

Maybe one day convention will change.

Kiss wear decent platforms. Might get a pair of "Gene Simmons" type.

I don’t think it’s taboo but it’s probably not going to make you more attractive to the majority of women. It may well

Make you more attractive to a minority of women, as long as your fine with that knock yourself out

I don’t think this about trying to make oneself ‘more attractive to women .. it is about freedom of expression. I fully realise that as a TV, i turn off probably 99% of women, and accept that. I am just grateful there is but a very special few who I don’t turn off, or who accept me. If it was about appealing to women in the wider sense .. I’d probably be better if hiding myself away ….been there and done that!

You should be free to dress as you please, hopefully we are getting closer to that.

But I was responding to the OP who stated that it seems to put women off.
