Sleeping with Dogs

Jump to newest

By *ssex_tom OP   Man

Chelmsford

Reports from Welsh news that a lady went for an afternoon nap with a pet dog and she slept with her mouth open. The fog had diarrhoea and accidentally pooed in the ladies mouth and the lady ended up in hospital and was very ill..

Tom thinks that allowing a dog in a human bed is an accident waiting to happen..

This is all over the news guys.

Rimming can have the same effect; and insufficient hygiene prior to and during DP (and DVP) can cause very serious bacterial infections too !

My beloved dog, sadly long departed, slept on my bed, without incident, for 15 years.

I think dogs need to be highly trained and given good boundaries. Imagine the dog did that with your child or elderly parent. They are vulnerable and wouldn't severe a severe infection.

I'm trying to live as long as possible without accidentally killing myself or anyone else.

Hugs to all.

Thank you all for your responses both public and private, once again endorsing my entrenched belief that all publicity, even if it's bad publicity, is good publicity. I couldn't possibly be offended by any comments made. As well as the comment about dad bod, and dyed hair, the guy forgot to mention thick skin and broad shoulders, the saying sticks and stones etc etc suddenly coming to mine.

Wish I'd more time to participate in forums other than during insomnic moments, as I do get amused by it all on times.

Thank you again all.

Canines, the descendants of wolves, which humans originally befriended and progressively bred to become less aggressive, have slept in close proximity to their human counterparts for tens of thousands of years, and possibly much longer.

We two creatures are in a an unysually close symbiotic relationship; dogs sleeping on beds were an early warning system for approaching dangers to both.

Don't try to resist this phenomenon; it has been going on for so long that it is natural!

If some humans think that dogs emit an offensive smell, have some sympathy for dogs, because their sense of smell is much more sensitive by a long chalk, and some humans are not particularly hygienic.

My dog slept on my bed for fifteen years, with no issues whatsoever.

Without revealing details, his protective nature was of enormous benefit to me.

I covered my rear yard in gravel and the dog was able to hear the crunch of gravel under foot and emit a bark that scared off the intruders.

Dogs are instinctively attuned to the emotions of their carers and owners.

However, the presence of an Ovtcharka or a Pedro de Presa Canario would require an enormous bed !

People who like dogs, and especially people who own dogs, regard them as family members, which is utterly incomprehensible to people who hate dogs or have never cared for a dog

Dogs are great fun, and crucially are always delighted to see you, which is more than can be said for a lot of humans!

I have spoken to many hundreds to dig owners and lovers; the majority, well in excess of 50% permit their canine companions to sleep on their bed, and the rest would permit their dog to sleep in their bedroom on their own bed.

Dogs have a primitive need to be close to the leader of their pack: the human alpha male.

"People who like dogs, and especially people who own dogs, regard them as family members, which is utterly incomprehensible to people who hate dogs or have never cared for a dog

Dogs have a primitive need to be close to the leader of their pack: the human alpha male."

Can the human alpha male be an alpha female ?
