There are some people in this world, who might pretend to be ‘amateur photographers building a portfolio’ who then turn up with a white blanket and an iPhone to the ‘shoot’

I'm always so surprised when someone says they are a photographer but they don't display any of this when they take their own photos.

If someone did want a shoot, I think showing off your camera style with your own portraits would make the world of a difference in gaining interest.

When I look at your profile, it is low quality images that would never make me think you are genuine.

Maybe you could try to take some of yourself professionally to give people an idea of the quality and style you can achieve?

But even so, I think not many people will be interested in someone who doesn't stand out and make more of an effort to show they can offer something a little more than the usual.

If you can’t, maybe there is an amateur photography society that can help, not sure they’ll be into hardcore tbh but you might find a model into glamour via that route?

In the most constructive may possible OP, your profile pictures don't scream "photographer" to me. You have to understand that this angle is used a lot by a lot of guys as a way to try to get women in compromising situations, and as such everyone is going to be pretty wary.

I'd suggest putting that photography skill into your own gallery to start, or at least link to some of your existing portfolio so there's at least some evidence to back up your request.

People aren't taking the piss.

They are pointing out that this is a common theme on here and comes across as a way to get a semi naked lady in your home in the hope of more.

The quality of photos on a profile is also seen as being indicative of a persons ability behind the camera.

If you're genuinely interested in improving your photography techniques there's lots of information online and places to find models. I believe Purple Port might be a a good place to look.

Guys offering free labour, massages (always qualified masseurs) or free videos etc.

Let’s face it, and yes it’s cynical, but the end goal

is sex or some something sexually rewarding, even if that’s just to meet someone and spend time socially. Otherwise they’d be asking on amateur Facebook groups and Gumtree etc.

OP - if you're an amateur starting out or looking to get cracking images for your portfolio then I seriously suggest hiring a pro model. They know the poses and the angles to get truly great shots, and you'll rarely have a bad shoot.

If you're confident directing and know what to look for then good luck to you - but a clear idea of what you want from the shoot, what levels, what output format its intended for etc will help a lot.

And with the amount of people on here trying to be discreet - likelihood of finding someone for your portfolio is slim. Also some idea of what renumeration they will get in return might help - full set of edited images with no copyright restrictions?

As I said, good luck to you. But better try purple port or adult folio as well!

I think that several of you are out of order with your comments. The OP did not say the lady had to go alone nor did he even hint that the photo shoot would be at his home. As for his own photos, someone can be really good at taking photos of others, but not so great at taking them of themselves. Even using a tripod and timer or remote control. I've tried and failed on serval occasions in that respect.

OP, if we lived closer and you wanted all shapes and sizes, I would happily have said please consider me. I would love some good photos, both tame and racy.

This is all very true! There's not many on here who will want 'racy photos' to be added to someone's portfolio. Helping them out or not
